Yep, really fine. Great for low flow/current or base layer, or fuge. Otherwise ho with their Pink Fiji. Little more heft, yet still feel need enough for sand sifters

Q: my water is cloudy all the time. sand is like powder. fish kick the sand up and cloud the water. I have a canister filter rated above the size of the tank. what can I do. i'm really sorry I bought 120 lbs of this sugar fine sand.

You need to rinse the sand before putting it in your tank. I have no issues with cloudiness in my tank and my flow rate is high (2 powerheads in a 12g nano tank - both ~160 gph).

Q: Is it ok to use for freshwater?

Absolutely..It might mess with the water chemistry a little.. as in keeping pH, GH, KH slightly high.. but nothing to devastating for the average freshwater fish (unless you're keeping discus)Would love to know what fish you're planning on keeping ~

Q: Difficult to tell from the picture. Is this sand bright white or a bit offcolor?

Depends on the lights you have in your tank. When you just look at the sand in the bag it appears light brown. But for instance under my old metal halides and current LED's it appears bright white. I would guess if you were running like 2700k fluorescents it might like somewhat off white.
