Opening link pliers
These are pliers to OPEN the link and NOT close it . . . Using the bike up the road will close it . . . But I wanted to save the hassle when trying to split the link in Service or change Chain mode !Works a treat . . . I've tried Hands & Finger Nails, Pin nose pliers, Screw drivers and anything I could lay my hands on to split the chain !Fed up I finally decided I wanted these . . . and they work !You know that I wish I'd got them earlier / years ago feeling . . . Been there wore the T shirt and now I got them !

A must if you maintain your own chains
I used to use pliers to squeeze together the 2 links that complete the chain. Messy, difficult at times so a pain in the butt!It takes longer to get this tool out of the toolbox than to release the quick link.I use it every time I clean my chain which can be weekly in foul weather.Fabulous! Don’t know why it took me so long to get one!

Work well
So easy to use. Not cheap, but saves the time spent messing around with pliers.

Quick Link locking Tool
Because of the tight tolerance of 11Spd Bike chains it is essential to use a locking tool to secure the quick link.7/8/9 Spd links can be locked by hand strength aloneThis is a must have device if you remove your chain for cleaning waxing etc
