Choosing the best Hot Wheels guide for you
No real complaints. This will give you some history on the models, explain to you why something is worth what it is. The values on the car are a tad overly optimistic. However, this will give you the tools you need to understand collecting these cars. The variations, the how, the when, and the why of things. All of that is in here. I use this in conjunction with the latest Tomart's to identify, price, and purchase my Hot Wheels. However, As far as I can tell. The Jet Threat has always had larger wheels in rear, and smaller in front. Doesn't matter what book you purchase, there will not be a perfect one. Still, I consider this one essential. As far as the quality of the book itself, color photos, and ease of use-- It is unbeatable.

FOR OLD AND NEW HOT WHEEL COLLECTORS THIS BOOK IS THE BEST BY FAR!
I received my Elite Redline Guide a couple days ago and could not wait to look in it. This book by far shows all and every variation, color, interior, year, and a very accurate price guide and way more. I was amazed that it took me back to when I was 9 years old on that Saturday morning June 13th 1970 when certain stores had a Hot Wheels speed test day where you brought your fastest car in and hoped it would finish with the fastest speedometer reading, the promotion ad is shown just like it was. This book leaves out NOTHING!! If your interested in one of the best if not the best Hot Wheels Redline book for years 1968-1977 in my opinion then get this book, you will get more than you expected!

Excellent resource!
Excellent book for hot wheels collectors. This is considered to be the most reliable source for pricing redlines. The only drawback is the cost. Originally it sold from $20-$30 when it was released. Now it is commonly sold for $300 or more. The only other book that comes close is the Spectraflame book. The elite redline book is the most valuable resource for collectors.

The current standard! Hands down THE best redline guide out there!
As an avid redline collector I have tried many different reference guides. I've used everything from Tomart's to Lee's Toy Review, and none of them come close to the in depth information that is packed into this book! If you are a seasoned redline collector like myself or just a beginner this is THE book to have! I highly recommend it to any and all redline collectors. Thank you! to Jack Clark and everyone who contributed to this true "Elite" redline guide book.

A wonderful and must have publication for all Redline collectors
The photos alone are worth the price of the book. Insightful, well written and informative.

Probably the 'gold standard'
Beautifully and lovingly crafted. An excellent guide could be made even better next time by:1) Updating a few omissions, inaccuracies and missing details (e.g. dark interior Six Shooter; Mark IV interior variation).2) Modifying prices to better reflect the current Redline market. Many are significantly overstated...even for mint cars.3) More info for new and inexperienced collectors to introduce them to the hobby and how to best use (and not use)the Guide.

Great book, gave me everything I needed
Had pulled my Hot Wheels out of a box they've been moved around in for YEARS. Was curious of their value, so picked up this book. Great pictures, great history on each car, great information on the different colors and manufacturing locations. Really hated thinking about selling the cars after looking over this.

Husband Says This is a Must Have
My husband loves this book; he is an avid Hot Wheels collector. His friend borrowed it for a weekend and went out to buy one as well. They both seem to regard it as one of the most comprehensive references about redlines out there.

THE TITLE SAYS IT ALL !!
If like me, you are a huge fan & collector of original Vintage Redline cars, then this is quite simply "THE BIBLE" of Hot Wheels Redlines.370 full colour pages, describing & picturing every single Redline car from 1968 - 1977 in Chronological year order, together with a history, variations & rare versions, differences between US & Hong Kong castings, original packaging, & pictures of many rare colours you do not often see in books.(the cars are in alphabetical order for each year)A price guide for each car loose or packaged,(MINT) either US or Hong Kong version, is also included (in U.S $) together with sections on Track sets, play sets, accessories, carry cases, foreign packaging ....etcThe Photos of the cars are crystal clear, and for each car type you are given 4-10 pics, front ,side & back, even the bases where there are different versions. Unlike many Hot Wheels books & guides published over the years (I have them !! ) the cars depicted in this Elite Guide are of Mint & Clean examples, rather than scracthed & dented playworn versions that adorn nearly every other Hot Wheels book going !In short, this is simply the best book in existence on original Hot Wheels Redlines, if you had to buy one book on the subject -then this is it !! - this covers everything !!- there is even a section on prototypes !!I cannot reccommend this enough !!!
