Not just for coaches
While many books will tell us to persevere and not give up on our dreams, here is one with an actual approach.I bought this book because a Melissa Ford, a contributor, is a coach with whom I have worked and I greatly admire. (That's also my disclaimer I suppose.) I was curious as to about what she might write and was not disappointed. Her chapter describes a very honest account of her transformation from self-doubt and anxiety to eradicating those concerns through taking a leap into a more service-minded approach.Although some of the chapters are a bit wordy, I kept my ranking at 5 stars because there is a palpable honesty in the writing that comes through for each individual. The book is applicable to any profession, particularly where sales or a job search is involved. People are so often timid or embarrassed because they feel they are asking for something when, instead, they are offering. They are offering their talent, know-how, etc. Some chapters have practical ways to make this approach part of your DNA while others offer testimonials. All in all, when someone in my household needs a reminder to persevere in going after what they want, this book will be on the shelf to inspire them.

Learn how to REALLY grow your coaching business. Before you create one more marketing funnel, read this and keep it Simple!
I have been a huge fan of Steve Chandler's writing for a long time, but I am now a bigger fan of Steve after reading this book. Reading chapters by 11 Coaches who have worked with Steve has been hugely beneficial to me and really drove home the concept of Serving in coaching interactions. I have been down the path of Marketing Funnels and TripWires and Automated Ninja Stealth Webinars and I have gotten very little in return. The simple concept of Connecting with people and then having a deeper conversation designed to REALLY understand their dreams and what is holding them back and then serving boldly HAS moved my business forward. My clients are better off and my coaching practice is thriving.Thank you to all the authors and especially Gabriel Uribe - Gabriel takes a simple story from a children's book and creates a super simple plan for you to win one day at a time. Highly recommend.

Serve not Sell
Really describes levels of service for service sake. It is not to serve so you can get something back. Each author contributes something very powerful.

Great bunch of stories from a great bunch of coaches.
A very enjoyable read. I have read a bunch of Steve Chandler books snd loved them all. So I became a member of his online coaching school and he recommended this book as part of his coaching course. He trained all of these coaches in the book / they each shared their philosophies and approaches and a whole lot more. If like me you are a coach you’ll likely get lots of inspiration reading this.

The Proof That Service Works
If you're a coach, or aspire to be one, save yourself a lot of struggle and read this book. First, read The Prosperous Coach, then consider one or two of Steve Chandler's books, and then--to annihilate that final nagging voice which insists that genuine heart-based service will totally fail you--read this book. Game over. All twelve contributors repeat slightly variant refrains of the same theme--that the secret to success is leading with a heart of true love and service, which in itself is joyful. With each refrain I heard the message from a slightly different angle, which progressively deepened my understanding of it and negated the naysayer in me. It's not hyperbolic when I say that the experience of reading it at points was literally breathtaking. In addition to the theme of service, the authors incorporate unique (or, I suppose not-so-unique) lessons from their own journeys, and, of course, all emphasize hiring an excellent coach as a NECESSITY.I will continue to keep this on my nightstand as a reliable source of inspiration and the best possible antidote to fear, doubt, and scarcity. I trust you will enjoy it as much as I have! :)

To build a coaching business you must serve. Its like playing tennis, you must serve before you play.
As a coach who as a firm rule does not coach other coaches, I think this book is a gem. It cuts to the heart of how to build a successful service business. Service first always. I serve hotel managers, leaders, and owners. I always strive to first serve and then serve again. To find some way to help the person in front of me or on the phone. The stories in this book are all about service and I learned a great deal and was also reminded of much more. It's easy to forget about the subtleties of and this was a pleasant reminder for me.
