The Greaton 2-inch bunky board, twin provides a solid surface foundation for and platform beds, bunks and daybeds. It adds support to the mattress and will keep mattress stav in good shape thus extending the life of velour mattress. It will give a firm Bottom support for the mattress and raises the mattress up for about 2 inches. When a mattress is placed directly on slats or metal spring, the mattress will have the tendency to rip or sink. These can be avoided with the use of a bunk board. Using a bunk board doubles the mattress' life expectancy. This bunk board is a good alternative in lieu of a box spring that mav be too high for davy beds. It will give the bed a lift without adding much Height. This bunk board is strong enough to be used directly on bed frame in lieu of a box spring. It will give the mattress a lift which is quite low but will definitely hold up the mattress. It is wrapped in a stitch bonded nonwoven fabric. It meets federal standards 1632 and 1633 fire code. This spring sleep bunky board will give vou enduring comfort and durability for an excellent sleep.

They do exactly what they are intended to do.
These bunkie boards are only for one thing and they do it prefectly well. The split design is nice and makes handling a good bit easier.

Didn't work and started to slightly sag after less than a month
This product seams to to be made mostly of cardboard with 3 or 4 widely spaced wooden slats inside of it. A thin fabric covers the whole board. And two board pieces are placed beside each other to form the queen size and shape. It seems over priced. After only using less than a month, parts of the cardboard in the Bunkie boards have started to sag some. It has started to sag on several spots where it is mostly cardboard. I have only been using it normally and not jumping on the bed. My new memory foam mattress requires support and slats to be less than 3 in apart to support the mattress. When this product started to sag, it didn't seem to support my memory foam mattress enough. The Bunkie board also squeaked some when I would first lay on it.

Not really a board
When I ordered this, I expected something flat and hard..like a board. I thought I was saving myself a trip to a hardware store to get a piece of plywood or MDF cut during a pandemic. Fine so far.Anyways, the panels are wood frame with exactly two slats in each panel. So the mattress in question would get more support with just the slats that bed came with. The wood frame has some cloth stretched over it but it really gives very easily.I was tempted to to use the cardboard this came in as that would probably be more useful.

Still required additional support for these split boards
great support HOWEVER, please note that these split bunkie boards come in 2 VERTICAL pieces, therefore, they must be placed in the bed frame vertically (rather than horizontally). Most bed frames have a wood support running down the center of the frame, running vertically. When using these boards you will STILL need some type of support to place these boards onto - running horizontally, otherwise when you place boards into your bedframe, they will just fall through to the floor.

Good Purchase
I got these for an older, twin daybed and they definitely made the mattress seem somewhat firmer and eliminated the sagging effect of the mattress over the bed frame springs. They also cut way down on the squeaking noise from the springs under the mattress. The two pieces were easy to install right out of the box. I highly recommend.
