Great Pretzels
Excellent product. Easy to make and they were a big hit at our Oktoberfest Party. We plan to get several more boxes and bake pretzels for the grandkids' presentation on Germany at their Home School Co-op. You will probably need to supplement the supplied salt with a bit of kosher salt.

Flavor not quite what I was expecting
This mix made up some good pretzels, but the flavor seemed a little off. I don’t think I will buy again.

Great hot pretzel, plus…
I’ve made these as pretzels, very good hot out of the oven. Last time I made, I rolled the dough thin and cut to what I estimated would make a slice of bread. Worked great. Made sliced turkey and Swiss sandwiches, with stone ground mustard and dill wedges…w pretzel (bread) hot out of the oven. Hard to beat…

Great Flavor, Easy Recipe
I was really impressed with these. They weren't too hard to make and the flavor was way closer to a real pretzel you can get in Germany than any of the other brands I've tried. I know some of the reviews mention the lye - it comes with the lye and salt, you only need to add vegetable oil and water from your pantry. I'll definitely be purchasing these again!

Damaged and questionable ingredients
The box was smashed and ingredients were loose in Amazon bag. I’m to purchase food grade LYE to make their recipe. No, I don’t think so. Says no returns so I’ll be throwing this away. Wasn’t cheap, either.

Made without lye
I love love soft pretzels the pretzels came with food grade lye and my anxiety and hypochondriac self got scared and looked it up and found out that even food grade lye can be dangerous if not careful so I decided to not use it I was going to use the baking soda as substitute but decided to do an egg wash instead and I cut little slits into the dough and brushed the egg wash all over and popped them in the oven THEY CAME OUT PERFECT!! So soft and golden brown I made some cheese dip and they are heaven I made pretzel rolls and a few pretzels both came off soft and yummy 😋
