Best San Marzano tomatoes for the price!
This particular brand of San Marzano tomatoes is absolutely delicious and priced right. I lived in Italy for 16 years and use to work as a personal chef before retiring. I highly recommend it. Enjoy.

The BEST
These tomatoes are the best and they are the only ones that I use in my marinaras. No acidic flavor, great physical body, wonderful flavor. If comparing products look out for "San Marzano STYLE" and non-BOP products.

No dings or dents!
I had ordered 3-6 packs of these wonderful DOP tomatoes. Delivery was on time and carefully placed in front of the door. I was a little apprehensive about opening the large cardboard box, as the cans in a previous order of tomatoes were damaged. So, I was hoping I wouldn't encounter the dings and dents I had gotten in the previous cans. To my amazement, all 18 cans I ordered this time were pristine! A lot of care was taken in packaging these cans. Two or three cans themselves were wrapped together in 3 layers of bubble wrap, and a heavy piece of cardboard separated each can in the rows (lid to lid). To make it evenly protected, a large amount of bubble wrap was stuffed in all the empty areas in the cardboard box! I am extremely happy with my order and will order again. These tomatoes are one of the best tasting DOP tomatoes I have tasted; they are soft and easy to crush by hand. Most of all, they are delicious!

Very good tomatoes. Better packaging!
Like others have noted, we have experienced very damaged cans on previous orders. Unlike some of the others, they were *not* replaced when reported to the vendor! However -- since these are good tomatoes and some have reported improved packaging, I thought I'd reorder, and I can confirm the was nearly zero damage to the cans. Much much better! As far as "canned tomatoes" comment: I heard one of the YouTube chefs (maybe ATK) say canned is actually a *good* choice over fresh, because the tomatoes are actually picked when ripe. This is consistent with my experience. For a tomato sandwich -- absolutely, there is nothing in the planet better than an outstanding fresh tomato ... And 90% of the time it's a veil of tears. But for any cooking or sauces,*good* canned tomatoes are what you want, and they will be much more consistent, and the canning process has simply started your cooking for you.I've found these tomatoes to be that level of quality. That's not to say there might not be better, but these are better than any that I've tested against. An excellent choice. I'd love to hear comparative reviews from others.

Will buy these forever
I love these. I get awful heartburn so these are a godsend.I made a large batch of marinara, used some for lasagna and pressure canned the rest. We've used those for spaghetti and chicken parmesan.I will be using these forever going forward.Taste is great, acidity is low.Cans were dented but just fine. The unit price is cheaper than Walmart brand knock offs.

Sour taste
Sadly I had to get refunded for my purchase. All but one can had to be thrown out due to severely dented cans. I did try the one and only can of tomatoes that had no dents. I have to tell you I was terribly unimpressed. I have used authentic SanMarsano whole tomatoes purched from my Italian grocery store for many years. I ordered this because I was curious. Not any more. This product had virtually little to no flavor except a sour taste as you would using a generic SM product. The tomato quality was sub-par. Sorry folks but I had to tell you all the truth.

Ridiculously good tomatoes!
I opted to spend the money on San Marzano tomatoes when I was cooking for a large crowd, and I'm so glad I did! This is the first canned tomato in my life that hasn't caused stomach acid and ultimately, indigestion. The flavor is rich, fresh and robust! I did find that the finished sauce was more flavorful and fully developed on the second day which worked out fine for my purposes. I froze the left over sauce and it defrosted very well and tasted just as good as it had when I first made it. All of the cans arrives with no dents in the cans. If you can spend the extra money for these, They're worth it!

Dented
I think three of the six cans were dented. Product is good. I say just go to the store and get what’s easily available.
