Chronos Floaty Case with Extra Long Aluminum Thumbscrew and Tether Kit

This is a no-brainer if you're out on the water fishing from a kayak or surfing. I purchased this after losing a GoPro I had on a head strap mount and had to go snorkeling the next day to retrieve it after an hour of searching. (GoPro, how about some bright orange housings and knobs to help us find in the murk please?). But the options with the Chronos floaty case open up a whole new range of possibilities for downward floating angles and even as a 'toss cam' protection. The fit seems well matched. I don't know if it will stretch over time but it seems nice and snug but not impossible to get out to get your card and change batteries. Recomended!

My husband uses this on his body board and surf board to keep his Go Pro safe. My husband told me it is an excellent purchase. He says he mounted the screw for go pro to far back and it hits his shoulder when surfing. Just be sure of the distance when mounting. The box is waterproof and has worked well through waves and has kept the Go Pro dry! He has the Go Pro 7 silver. Fit perfectly! I highly recommend this for an avid body boarder/ surfer. I probably didn't read the description well enough, but i figured this thing would be more rubber than foam. It doesn't seem like super cheap or anything but it's definitely seems fragile. I can tell it's gonna be easy to chip and scratch the foam kinda easily, but ill see after my vacation.

I just took this out for a spin on its first set of 60ft dives. It fits over the camera exactly as is pictured. It also comes with a handy long screw, as seen. Trust me, it will help for mounting. I was able to mount it to a selfie stick and also slide on a filter casing over the lens area. Since I had extra weight with the stick, I also ordered a floaty wrist strap for it so I could be extra floaty just in case of whatever can happen on a dive. I felt pretty secure my camera would not end up with the fishes.

Thankfully haven't had to use the floatation feature. The case is easy to put on/off my GoPro and hopefully floats the camera if it ever breaks away from my board. So far, the only issue that I have is I wish that the length of the thumbscrew was a little longer to get an easier grip on it. All in all the floaty is easy to use.

Perfect to keep the gopro from sinking. I use it with my gopro 7 and headstrap. Did not sink in the ocean on use. Bright orange helps with visibility when it floats on water.Also tested this in my bathtub prior to taking it out in the ocean.

This product will only achieve neutral density for the osmo action, meaning that it will stay floating at a particular depth, it will not rise to the surface. Therefore, if you jump into the water and let go of the camera, you will have to swim down to that specific depth to retrieve the camera. Furthermore, if anything else is attached to the camera it will sink entirely. I attached a suction cup (weighing 2 ounces) which caused my osmo action to sink in a lake when it fell in the water. On a positive note, the orange color makes the camera easy to spot in the water, but this is frustrating if you are watching it sink beyond reach.
