Winter Storm 2021..Life Saver
Had to use these sooner than expected! With this Winter storm and food rations running out.. I decided to try these now, and just buy another box down the line-They're pretty amazing- I was scared to try the "Lime" flavor that came in the box (the other was Cranberry Coconut) because I'm weary of sour stuff, AND it's a hit or miss with lime-flavored things in packages usually, but this was really tasty! The outer "wafer" was a little weird texture wise, but it's said to "keep it stain, and crumble-free" so it's not a huge deal. I love that this is non-GMO, low sodium, and not crazy with the calories. I think these could actually be a regular snack!Great for your camera bag, backpacking, after gym bag, anything you could think of really...I think by now I probably sound like I got paid for a review, lol, but I just genuinely like these that much :)I think you should definitely try them right away, and always keep your emergency bag stocked...I don't think any of us saw this coming, or lasting this long. I'm grateful for this company.

Not a yummy treat but good for disaster preparedness
Tried both the Lime and Cranberry Coconut flavors. Not the kind of snack I would take hiking or backpacking. It is full of sugars and too light on the protein for my needs. Plus the flavor leaves something to be desired. That said, these have a great purpose. The sugars, carbs, and calories are good if you are in a disaster. It will sustain you, give you energies to burn, and sugar to boost your mental well-being in a pinch. I keep a couple in the glovebox for the “Just in case” type of situation life might throw at me. Go bag appropriate as well as a good idea to throw one in your first aid kit too. Slim and super minimal packaging is great for the tight fits too.

These are natural, no palm oil, super delish, and shelf life is awesome
Really bright and fresh flavors. The thin white paper-like wafer on the outside is a neat way to maintain freshness. The wafer has the slightest mild cookie flavor, but almost not there as it melts in the mouth. The fruit flavor inside, though has a really nice pop. The lime is a star - not sour but also not too sweet - they must have done extensive product testing because the flavors are spot-on. Natural ingredients without palm oil are so awesome. Good long shelf life makes these perfect for our emergency kit and bug-out bag. A little hard to leave them alone, though so we ordered some more for snacking now ;-)

My 9 year old loves them! Great emergency snack.
They are delicious. Of course, they don't replace whole fruits eaten with meals, but, for example, my son has to go from eating breakfast at 6 am until 1215 lunch at school!!! So we are always looking for reasonably healthy, backpack surviving, snacks that he likes. Home run on both the lime and coconut cranberry combo pack that we bought-I wish they would expand their offerings.

These were terrible, and I'll pretty much eat anything.
I recently did a taste test between 8 different "SOS bars" (8 people varying in age from 12 to 46) and this one rated the absolute worst. I think the production of this started off with a good idea but somehow went off the rails. It was disgusting. I am into MREs and long term storage food, so no, I'm not expecting something delicious, but I'd rather starve than eat this. One of the participants in our taste test said that the taste was best described as "pool." In that it it tasted like the smell of a swimming pool that maybe hasn't had the chlorine checked recently and has some biologicals in it. Avoid this at all costs or you're going to get real skinny during the apocalypse.

Not bad, wish they had a longer shelf life
We tried both flavors, which came in a broken open box but in sturdy foil wrappers that should hold up well. Neither were awful or delicious. But they aren't intended as regular snacks, but for a FEMA suggested kit when someone needed a pick-me-up. Of course being fruit, they have minimal protein at 2g, with 150 kcal, either 6g or 4g fat with the main function being 20g or 27g carbs. My biggest issue is they said "stays fresh for up to 32 months." but ours say best if used by 2/7/2024 so we only get 23 months.

Decent Fruit Bar for Emergency Rations
The fruit bars are not big but you are paying for long shelf life. That said, I would say this is still decent for the price, You get 6 bars in a box with 3 lime and 3 cranberry coconut. Both taste decent and I like both flavors, not great, but not bad either. Having both flavors will ensure you don't get sick of one flavor or the other. The covering is ok and a little bland - kinda like real thin rice paper. They are kinda filling but big guys will likely gulp down two bars. I mainly purchased these for long shelf life and to act as emergency rations should the world go nuts. Not bad for what you pay for and definitely well above other fruit bars out there which is why I gave it 4 stars. You want to diversify your emergency stock, I recommend you add a few box of these to help round it out.
