I am very happy with this purchase. The book rack takes up minimal amount of space, looks modern, bright, and happy with lower case alphabet in bright colors and book covers are easy to see and pull. Our 4-year-old daughter was overwhelmed with the choice of books she could suddenly pick and browse all by herself. This bookcase was perfect for a reading nook space I always wanted to create in her room.Two notes -- not a minus but keep in mind: the shelf positions are fixed and the second shelf from the bottom is for small board books, so as your reader grows up there might be few "grown up" books that can fit on that shelf. Also, I don't think you can fit 80+ books the manufacturer claims and even though you can fit quite a few, if the bookcase is overcrowded it starts defeating its purpose. We have another bookcase with more books arranged in traditional way and I decided just to "rotate" books in TidyBooks bookcase and give the display books some room to breath and move.

We were looking for a book stand that didn't take up space. Although this doesn't fit our daughter's close to 100 books (!), it fits a REALLY good amount, although we haven't counted. Aside from the space saving feature, One of the best things is that our kiddo loves to go searching for her books because it is at eye level for her. The secret is to not over-stuff the shelves, so that they or you can move the books side to side and see what's hiding behind the other. As for the other books, they are put away in her closet and I just rotate them randomly. She's always happy to see some book that she hasn't read in a while amongst the new ones.

My 20-month old girl is very independent and prefers to pick out her own books to 'read'. She loves to reach for her own selection at any point during her play time. She stops what she's doing and walks over, picks out her book and sits to read. The bookshelf takes very little depth out of the play area which is a plus in our small condo. Our 4 year old likes reaching the top shelf for his books and enjoys the variety on display.

I love how narrow this piece is (it helps us cover a large wall vent that can get little fingers stuck in it- without obstructing our hallway entrance). And yet, it stores more books than I could have wished for. I like that it's all wood and very sturdy. Some pieces may be ever so slightly warped (to be expected with thin pieces)- so you may need a power drill to get some extra oomph to assemble it quicker. But that wouldn't dissuade me from getting it again.

This would have been 5 stars as it is a lovely bookcase but the first one ordered could not be put together due to major warping and holes in the wrong place. A second was sent immediately which sorted the problem.The customer service was very good.

I gave it 3 Stars because its expensive and was a pain to assemble, the directions were not the easiest to follow. As for usefulness it gets 5 stars... I purchased it for $139.00 and currently it is $179.00 at the lesser price it was expensive but over all it is just not worth $179.00.

Looks nice in our playroom and is holding about 50 books for us

We love thie bookcase. It is a huge space saver and our son likes that he can see the covers of his books. It doesn't hold the amount of books advertised, but we are still happy with our purchase.

The design quality of this bookcase is awful. When assembling the pre drilled holes don’t line up, so you have to try to angle the screws in, which means it doesn’t assembly properly and the screws heads inevitably snap off. For something this expensive you’d expect at least basic quality - seems they have very poor quality assurance in the manufacturing process. I would save your money and bit something half the cost, which is actually manufactured properly.

This is by far the best bookcase we have found. We were given one for my oldest daughter that had previously had been used by 3 children and is now being used by the 4th. Such a great quality product. This white one is for my other daughter and I like the updated letters and the attention to detail with the coloured screws for the front panels. Very easy to build

Looks good and is a nice addition to my five-year-old's bedroom for all his books. It feels well made but some of the screw holes were machined in the wrong locations so I had to drill new holes when assembling. There should be some QA in the manufacturing process here. The bookcase is designed to lean against the wall at the top so note that you should fix it to the wall to avoid it falling on children. For what it is, it is incredibly over-priced though in my opinion.

Bought as a present for our grandsons first birthday,his dad said it was very easy to assemble and it looks great,we are all really pleased with the bookcase

This is the second of these bookcases we have bought so now both my boys have one. Absolutely lovely and hold so many books. As they are not particularly deep they don't take up much space in smaller room either. Perfect bookcases!
