Good replacement for FTDI connector
I bought this mostly because I just wanted to stop keeping a mini USB cable around just for my old FTDI boards. This let me do that. While USB-C would have been even better I’ll have micro USB cables around for a while longer so this is plenty good for now.

Not breadboard friendly
Somehow my 2 star review for an ESP32-Cam was posted here.This device worked well, and it passed the USB 5 V through, which was useful.The only difference I would wish for is that it could be used on a breadboard. I could stand the slight increase in size.
