Worth the money so far! Great photos and videos.
Overall so far, a very good camera! The 25x optical zoom is great and the picture quality is great too. 1080p is fine, but 4K or 5mp would be better. Night vision is strong, very good. So, a few things: motor noise when moving is a little disappointing. The PTZ Blue Iris was a few hours of troubleshooting. I got the video fine, but the PTZ didn’t work because of an account issue that was not spelled out in their FAQ. I did get a hold of technical support from China on Saturday morning EST, and they replied within an hour. Even with screenshots and text sent, they still directed me back to the instructions I already tried! I was able to get them to dial-in and we figured it out together. Blue Iris was very slow to see a PTZ response. Guarding Vision software was much better at instant response and photo/video capture. The one big recommendation is to replace the Phillip head screws on the back of the camera where the Micro SD card goes with stainless steel Allen wrench screws from the hardware store. I had to do that as the original screws were cheap and so tight, that no matter what, the heads started to strip. One of the screws almost wouldn’t unscrew and the head stripped so easily. There was no way those screws were going back in, as I would never get them out again! The star head with SS screws, metric fine threads, were awesome with enough torque to feel secure and waterproof.

Auto tracking DOES NOT work and makes this a $500 paper weight
Update: I took the cameras down and updated the main board with instructions they sent me in an application I had to install in my computer hoping that this would fix the tracking issues. However, it didn't. It did fix something because they do act differently now but, still today, after anywhere between 8 hours and 2 or 3 days, the camera loses its current setting... Meaning that it was on auto tracking and for some reason it never reset back to its original location/setting, and not only is it not Auto tracking but now as I said it's zoomed in on a leaf on my front yard worth pointing up randomly into the sky and some random direction so I'm not even recording the area that needs to be surveilled. They did issue me a small refund but I see now that refund was useless because the cameras are cheaper and they're taking $80 off of that from what I paid. If you want a PTZ camera you can get one cheaper than this. If you want an auto tracking camera, this definitely is not what you want. TLDR: motion tracking bugs out every day and ends up looking into the sky or at my roof, buy another brand or a bullet camera. I bought two, based on the reviews. The camera is really nice, large, heavy, and feels like a solid piece of equipment. I was very excited to get these mounted and hooked up. I hooked them up and started to play with them. I was very happy with the picture quality and zoom. After a day or two, the camera would lose its settings (lose the preset) and be zoomed in on a leaf, or be turned around 180* looking at my roof or be pointing into the sky. I worked with Robin and she was very responsive (as others have stated... another reason I bought this brand) with a few suggestions which I did. The first interaction took around two weeks of troubleshooting, which ended up turning off tracking and turning on intrusion detection. I enabled that and also was running into the same issue. After many more back and forths, I got on a TeamViewer session with Robin and one of the Sunba techs who looked over my configuration and didn't find anything off that would cause this issue. I should also mention that one of the cameras was on a Beta firmware (another thing they had me try) while the other was on the normal firmware and had the same issue on both. They think it is a motherboard issue and I have to get on my roof and flash them with a USB key. Ugh. I was told that a "fix" should be coming in the next week or so but in the meantime, I cannot recommend this camera. Switch: Unifi USG-16-150W Tired with both: Synology Surveillance Station and with BlueIris. Neither had PTZ enabled. I will update this review as I work with Sunba some more.

Better late than never!
I bought this camera about 4 years ago. High quality camera that is built to last a long time. I have several 4K cameras that do not look as clear as my 1080P Sunba Illuminati V2. The 0ptical and digital zoom is amazing. I have it mounted on my TV antenna tower, and can read license plates almost a block away. I did have an issue recently with the network cable ethernet plug on my camera. When I installed the camera outside, I did not use included insulated or weather protected ethernet plug on my camera, and paid the price 4 years later. I recently contacted Sunba, and for only $30 was shipped out a whole new pigtail or wiring harness. And this time I used the included weather protector plug. Shout out to technical director Robin P at Sunbatech.com for doing an excellent job from start to finish. She saved from having to buy a new camera.

Great for a online streaming camera, built in RTMP so no need for a dedicated computer.
This camera is used for a online streaming of my bird feeders, picture quality is outstanding, very easy to set up and use, RTMP built in makes it easy to set it up for YouTube streaming without the need to run a computer. Camera also has outstanding zoom and is a great value for a high end security camera.

Great Camera so far. Holding up well to continuous multi-point patrol. Gives images I can work with.
These pics are made from remote screen grabs from a Sunba "Illuminati" IP Cam I installed in the hills overlooking Reno, NV. The SouthWest Airlines plane in the zoomed in pics can also be seen (in the air, but tiny) in the bottom right quadrant of the pic with the 17:52 time stamp. I have not played with youtube streaming or auto-tracking yet, but I've had a couple of these Illuminati cameras jumping between multiple patrol presets several times a minute, for months now. The software is a bit painful as well as a bit limited, (I don't seem to be able to call or set presets remotely.) yet these cameras have become my current favorites, and I'm looking forward to installing their 36x Optical zoom model as well. It can also see stars! (Sorta...) That's the Orion Nebula disappearing behind a hill at my place. The IR night vision reaches much farther than any of my previous IP cams, but I find I prefer the color night vision, with the IR off, much of the time. My use for these is to add to my personal "Digital Picture Window Library". (Review edited because the pics didn't appear in the order I expected.)

DO NOT BUY THIS CAMERA IF FOR RESIDENTIAL
I will be asking for full refund. The auto-tracking feature really doesn't do what it's suppose to do. I asked for a replacement and this camera does the same thing. I will be asking for a full refund. UPDATE: 3-13-2022 I've sent a request from Sunba requesting that the firmware be redesigned in hopes that they resolve the "auto-tracking" feature issue at once (asap). Here is a copy of the message sent to support (hopefully this message is received quickly and received by more than one person with me included the message here as well): Good day! Please excuse my attempt to write this message as simple as possible, in hopes that a translator will provide a simple understanding of the requests made in this message to prevent further delay. I am looking for a solution to a problem that I have with my purchase of the “Illuminati” surveillance camera. I bought this camera for around $500.00 through Amazon.com. The feature known as “auto-tracking”, does not work correctly and I will trust Sunba to rectify this problem as soon as possible. The “Illuminati” made by Sunba, produces a super clear picture in every video. The “Illuminati” is impressive, especially with the color videos achieved in near-complete darkness, even without the use of the Infrared lights supplied for night vision. My YouTube audience is extremely impressed by the quality of my videos produced by the “Illuminati”. The video quality is superb! The “auto-tracking” issue is a major fault and is also considered a major malfunction; that needs to be addressed at once. I’m trusting Sunba to create a solution that will resolve the auto-tracking feature without delay. The selling point that was used by Sunba was that this camera uses a technology known as “auto-tracking”. Based on the information advertised on your website, I made my purchase without delay or complaint. The price increases by (at least) an added $200 because the camera is sold with the “auto-tracking” feature. With all respect to your company, this is considered false advertising when the description is incorrect. The demonstration video provided by Sunbatech is also misleading by showing the “auto-tracking” feature following the target quickly and accurately when this cannot be achieved with the current firmware provided for this camera from Sunbatech. The most recent firmware for this camera does not properly program the camera’s “auto-tracking” feature. We need Sunbatech to redesign the firmware that your camera uses to program the feature for the “Illuminati” correctly. Does Sunba need help with redesigning or building a firmware that will program the “auto-tracking” feature correctly? If Sunbatech needs guidance or direction to build a working version, we can find the resources to resolve this important conflict. Please reply or otherwise advise as to your next action to resolve this issue for your customers. We need Sunbatech to complete this product to make the selling points made on the advertising page valid. When will Sunbatech design this new/updated firmware for the “Illuminati”? Let’s make the “Illuminati” surveillance camera great AND awesome! Let's discuss how we can get this issue resolved. This would be much appreciated. I am willing to find the resources if Sunbatech is out of solutions. Please allow me to help if you need assistance. Thank you, (......my details were provided in the original message sent to Sunbatech support this morning.) This is a real issue that needs to be resolved in a timely manner. We are paying good money for this camera and the "auto-tracking" feature can be achieved if programming is built correctly. It can be performed in the way it is to be perceived. I purchased another "auto-tracking" surveillance camera from Amazon about a year and a half prior to this purchase of the Sunba “Illuminati” and that camera "auto-tracks" well (people only though). I would like to see an option for the consumer to have the ability to select to track either/or people or other objects (vehicle, etc...) because currently, the Sunba “Illuminati” does not allow choice by the consumer…it detects people and vehicles (animals, anything other moving objects), but while following people target, if a vehicle is detected, the camera disregards the people target and concentrates on the vehicle target (but loses that target all together) and ends up spinning a circle not following any target until it times out on your preselected amount of seconds (LAME!)! My only complaint with it is that you apparently have to set a timer for the amount of time the tracking lasts (even if there is still motion being tracked). I believe this should not be required. I would like to see an option for the tracking to continue if the target is still being sensed. Why isn't this option considered and given in the programming? I will provide the name of the camera I mentioned above provided you are able to send me a message on here or email me on Google's mail system using username: Jezzzero

Direct YouTube Streaming works great!!!
I own a gymnastics training facility, and with COVID-19 restrictions preventing parents from attending, I installed 3 of these cameras and stream them directly to YouTube. I use Unlisted Links and share the links on the parent chat portal. All 3 cameras work flawlessly and our parents love the quality and responsiveness. Recently, I also Live Streamed a State Gymnastics Meet and again received a tremendously positive response for the quality of the video output. Initially, I had an issue with keeping the YouTube link connected, but the Sunba Support was great. They released a new software release and everything now is hands-off and seamless. Great company - great product

Feature rich, great value and tech support
For the money this camera is impossible to beat. Aside from its value, here's what I like: - Exceptional night vision performance in low light conditions. I can detect objects at 1800' in total darkness. Under moonlight it's even further. - PTZ allows for full azimuth (Pan) rotation(s) with no hard-stops; Elevation (Tilt) range of -90 to +15 deg. - 25x Optical zoom. - Tech support has been very responsive via email. I have several SUNBA PTZ cameras. When one of them quit working, and after a few email exchanges, I was sent a replacement part at no cost (not even shipping). Additionally, I've ran into some technical questions and with a few emails back and forth they've been resolved. - Power adapter is supplied (is not POE). - Management user interface provides all of the necessary configuration items to tweak camera performance. And, here's the items that I think are in need of improvement: - The management user interface is a bit clunky, but for me that's ok. This camera is not intended to be plug and play like Ring or Arlo. If you're not a techie, then this camera is not for you. - User documentation contains enough info to get you up and running, but does contain gaps that can leave you hanging. Be persistent. - There are many configuration items in the user interface that lack documentation. For experienced users most of these are self evident. I've had to experiment with several of the Video or Image parameters to discover their function/purpose. - The pre-defined camera presets are not not well documented. I use Blue Iris as my primary monitoring console, so I can't critique the auto tracking capabilities of this camera - yet. This is one area where the documentation is light, and it would be helpful if there were better tutorials available. In summary, are there better PTZ cameras out there with matching specs? You bet, but you better be ready to lay down 2k or more to get one, especially for cameras with decent night vision. This camera is feature rich, and by comparison is an exceptional value. It's user interface and documentation are my biggest sore spots, but like I said if you're not technically inclined then this camera is not for you. Overall, I'm very satisfied.
