Just What I Needed!
I first used the nib that came with my stylus - the squishy kind - and it work. But this was a real improvement! So, I am a college student that does everything on my iPad - take notes, read textbooks, organize, etc. I MUST have a working stylus and this nib just made my stylus so much better! It gives you lots of control in writing and drawing. The word 'firm' made me think of some awful tire rubber that was hard and might damage my screen but I was wrong! Its definitely firm, but a flexible firm. Its just perfect for what I need it for.During lecture, taking notes hour after hour after hour, I really needed something that would let me writing naturally and give me no problems trying to draw or right - this did that! If you want to just casually swipe around - you really dont need a stylus in the first place. As for the 'pressing hard' part - I dont think its like that at all! Coming from the squishy type nib, I do agree that I had to push a little harder for it register but now that I think about it - I dont have that problem anymore. Just like I first had to get used to writing with a stylus, I got used to, in a sense, a different type of stylus. All in all it just works! My first nig (the original squishy kind) lasted me an entire semester so these three will probably (hopefully) last me 1.5 years of school! Its worth mentioning that when I bought it, it was ~$10.50 and now its ~8.00 so that sucks but w/e - like I said, 1.5 years!

The good, the firm and the nibbly.
I nabbed these nibs after I accidentally destroyed the one that came with the stylus, and figured I'd try out a different tip to see if I like drawing and sketching with it.And to be honest, I don't like it anywhere near as much as the regular "soft" nibs. It's not just that they are firm (which they are. oh baby they are firm!), it is that you really have to press significantly harder to make decent contact. For my purposes, that is just not really helpful.I can see how they might be helpful in some cases, but so far I have stuck with the soft-n-squishy.However, I am still giving this review 5 stars and 2 thumbs up because these nibs do what they are supposed to do. Just because they don't meet my needs is irrelevant. So in summary, if you want a harder, more firm experience, and like a little extra "push" on the bamboo, they maybe these lil' nibs are for you!Nibs!

This stylus is a keeper!
A "newbie" to the iPad, thought I'd give a stylus a try. A less expensive version worked ok for me, but the nib was too soft and had too large of a footprint. I liked the design of the Bamboo and in spite of the slightly more expensive sticker price, bought one to give it a try. It's very well-built, stays in the keeper clip when not in use. Comes with different colored parts to individualize your styli. Stiffer nibs are available for purchase, which I did order - they're just right. This stylus with the firmer nib also works well on an iPhone. Telescopic feature is another "plus". Only suggestion is; you'll want to make sure the screw on rings and parts are secure. They tend to come loose on occasion. Hesitant to use thread lock on this gadget but might give it a try after "break-in".

Finally, a Real Pen-like Stylus Nib!
I was beginning to think there was no way to get a stylus for writing and drawing on my iPad that had a nib which was more pen-like in the way it writes. The firmness of these nibs makes writing easy, actually looks like my real handwriting, not like the resulting scribble when I sign on the card swiper at the grocery store.I also design jewelry and clothing (not professionally...yet) and find this firm nib allows me to do a more realistic sketch when an idea comes to me. Obviously not as detailed as a CAD system or good old fashioned pencil and paper, but close enough that I can review my quick sketch then perfect it later. While flying from Seattle to Chicago I was able to draft several designs with enough detail so my friends could easily see what I had in mind.If I could, I'd give these firm nibs 6 stars.WRITTEN 2 DAYS LATER:I like these so much I wanted to order 5 more packs of them. When I bought the pack reviewed above it was $4.95 with free shipping. Two days ago I was about to order 5 more packages when I noticed the shipping for EACH package was now $9.99 (does not qualify for Prime). I wrote and asked Electric Online if they'd consider charging only once for the shipping and combine all 5 packages into one. Just got an email saying the product now offers free shipping. Well, guess what, the shipping is now free but the price has jumped from $4.95 to $10.50. I hope the ones I have last a long time because I won't be buying any for quite a while at this rate!I have not changed my original impresssion of the product - still worth 5 stars. I just wanted to alert those who might be considering their purchase. I've also notified Amazon of this.

Lasts longer than the soft nibs
My daughter loves her Wacom Bamboo Stylus, but the first three we had shredded and tore fairly quickly. The hard nibs still give her a lot of responsiveness from the Bamboo, but they tend to last longer.Replacing the nibs is very easy: the old one will peel off from the base. Don't use a lot of pressure on the Bamboo's tip because it's a bit sensitive: just be patient, work a fingernail around the edge, and slowly peel it up. When putting on the new nib, I find it's easiest to just pinch the nib between thumb and forefinger, get it most of the way over the tip, and then smooth the edges with my fingertips to get the nib to wrap around underneath the tip.

Calidad EXCELENTE. Precio...
