Good application based book with examples from chemical engineering problem solving using C & C++

This book were a discovery for me I always figure on my mind a book covering programming just not only in matlab, but using other languages as C++ and C, and Dr. Kapuno did it for all of chemical engineers interested in programming.I highly recommend it for your corse of if you work in engineering and every day need to implement routines out of commercial software

This book *may* be useful for a student-but preaches poor programming technique that will effect your workplace performance. The C++ language has had quite a few additions (the biggest in 2011) since the time this book was published and cannot be considered "modern C++".I did enjoy the portion dedicated to interfacing MATLAB with C, which someone may find valuable.
