Do you have to use poison? If snap trap only, how easy to dispose of carcass? Which snap traps work with it?

This is a poison station only. You just open and refill the poison as needed. It doesn’t trap anything at all.

Can I use loose bait pellets in this trap?

Yes, There is a tray as well as a rod for baits that have a hole in them and you put the rod through. You can leave the rod in (sits horizontal above the bait tray) or remove to use pellet bait. I have used small round bait pellets as well as the bait blocks.

Does it tell you when you caught a mouse?

It is a bait box , not a trap. I won’t tell you anything as it does not catch anything. It feeds poison.

I love my Squirrels but hate the rats. Would squirrels be able to get into this trap as well as rats ?

I have these feeders for rats in a few different places do you a terrible rat problem they’ve been out for over a month and the squirrels are still here teasing the dogs. I love to watch them play and the same squirrels are here doing well.
