GMACDelco Gold EP42S Electric Fuel Pump

This is a great pump. I was having an issue with my orginal pump, so i bought an elevtric fuel pump, the first one was a China pump (a real piece of junk, i put this USA made pump on and what a difference. I highly recommend this pump for a carb engine. I don't do a lot of these reviews, but had to do one on this great pump. Thanks.

XJZ noted that the pump does not fit as an 'inside' fuel tank pump. No XJ6 or XJ12 ever had a fuel pump in the tank. In the USA they did modify XJ6's to take a Chevy V8 and did do fuel tank mods but its totally a different car. The EPS42S works great on a XJ6 - output is close to 47PSI which is a good choice for this vechicle.

Although I haven't installed the pump yet, I wanted to pass on the actual dimension of the pump because I could't believe it was 20 inches long as advertised. The motor body is 2-1/2 inches long and 2 inches in diameter. It is 5-3/8 inches to the outside of the tubing connectors.

This appears to be an excellent product BUT it will NOT fit inside the fuel tanks of Series II or III Jaguar XJs originally equipped with submersible pumps.

Just what I needed.

This pump is an almost direct replacement for the stock pump on a Yamaha V-Star XVS1100. Mine is a 2005 and this pump works perfectly in the stock location, just had to reroute the output line.

I've used this product several times on carbureted cars and have never had a problem so I expect good service out of this one!
