I got this for a 35 pound little bird dog. The dog loved it, and carries it around all the time. It's a small toy. But it seems realistic, not like a cartoon bird. I don't think this would work for a big dog like a Golden. But this little dog likes it, and hasn't chewed it up. It made a great present.

Perfect toy for hunting puppies.

Mine enjoyed playing with it and chewing the tail and legs off. Overall not as realistic looking as I hoped.

This toy has lasted longer than any other toy we purchased. Even a 50 lb GSP treating it roughly has not damaged the pheasant. Well made!

Very disappointed in the quality of this toy.My dog is not even a chewer, we have tons of plush toys that have lasted since we got her.This fell apart within minutes of giving it to her, the fabric popped from a tooth, the stitching came undone, I was convinced that coming from a hunting company there would be more craftsmanship in this item.Not worth your time! Do not buy! I was even surprised at how poor the quality was of the squeaker element inside, this is a novelty item rather than a real dog toy.

This toy was not durable as a chew toy for a medium chewer. Arrived with felt legs which were easily chewed off, also leaving a gaping hole for the bird to become “de-stuffed” and squeaker to be excised. “Tail feathers” are still hanging tough though! All seams should be double stitched for durability and the price.

My 7 month old yellow lab mix just had surgery yesterday to remove a testicle by his bladder and today he chewed the legs off of this pheasant in less than 15 minutes while on pain and calming medication. So it’s not made in a spectacular fashion
