Great book to teach about diversity and inclusion
This book came to us as part of our amazon book subscription. My four-year-old was perplexed initially by the concept of congenital abnormalities. We used the story to talk further about variations in how people appear and function, including blindness, as seen in a commercial, and wheelchair use, as we see in a neighbor who uses a powerchair. People don't choose their circumstances, and we need to be kind because life is hard as it is. This book helps increase aware of physical differences. Must read for everybody, especially those WITHOUT physical limitations, who may not have a point of reference about disability or differences in a number of ways. Great book!!

I think there should be more books about the little box turtle.
Very nice story for kids. The little Box turtle has such a good out look in spite of troubles. Illustrations are cute and fit the story perfectly. I have a lot of books. This is a nice quality book.

An adorable book with a sweet message.
The illustrations of this book are well done, and Terrance the turtle is adorable. This is a book about accepting any challenges you may have, and persevering even when others are mean. I loved the message and it is well understood by kids. A sweet book!

Very cute to look at
The art style is so adorable! The story is very sweet and its a easy to follow read for a kid. Plus the particular audience I was reading with is really into raccoon right now so when the turtle made friends with one he was very excited.

Very cute story and illustration, a hit with the kids
The story and illustration are great, it’s a very cute book. The kids (3 and 4) love all the silly boxes the turtle tries to wear as a shell. Would definitely recommend to anyone with kids 5 and under.

Highly recommended !
It is a beautiful story that emphasises kindness and tolerance. I've been reading this every night to my 5.5-year-old, on-demand. Sometimes twice. Its the story of Terrance, who is born with a disability and how on being mocked he tries to change. But then his friend accepts him the way he is. Explained through a story, the concept is easy for a kid to pick up, especially since its interspersed with humour. The words used are a bit difficult - so the parent will need to explain stuff. Its suited to a 4+ kid. This is a book for keeps.
