So far this controller is fantastic! Much much more affordable than the controller from Steam. Works perfectly with all the steam games, though! So huge points to this for not having to pay $50 for a controller. So far everything works great, still holding up after being dropped at least 4 times now. Kids are clutzy so hopefully it will withstand a few more oopses. The cord could be longer but we have our pc hooked up to the flat screen tv in the living room. So if you're gaming AT your computer with a desk and all, the cord is plenty long. That's why I didn't dock a star. We've got a unique set up that calls for either wireless or a SUPER long cord. So if you have a PC gamer in your life or someone who plays a lot of steam games but doesn't want to fork out big bucks for their controller, GET THIS! It's compatible!

Pros- Set up is easy. price is cheap. it does a good job if yours isnt broken. automatically sets up the button map, and it has like the xbox 360 controller drivers (?) or whatever so its recognized as a 360 controller for any recent laptop games. I loved it at first because it is actually about as good feeling as a legit 360 controller Cons- left joystick- theres this small area between up and right, where it causes your character to slowly walk, instead of run. It caused this on dark souls, and a naruto game, ONLY in this small area, so its probably the controller. I ended up adapting my playing to move the camera more so I don't accidentally start walking in the middle of a fight... so the fact I adapted my game play around this controller means its faults are severe. THIS CONTROLLER IS NOT FOR PEOPLE WHO CARE ABOUT THEIR PERFORMANCE. left shoulder button - about 20 days after receiving it, the left shoulder button broke so I quit using it. Today I look and I'm past my 30 day warranty by 2 days, so I took it apart and looked at the little 1/32 of an inch square box button thing and something INSIDE of this little button is broke, because the button has no resistance to it... like something inside of it collapsed? so the button needs replaced, and of course the button has 4 soldered prongs, and you need to remove the trigger assembly which has 3 more soldered prongs to even get to it.... so I guess so its basically unusable now, unless I want to commit suicide on dark souls by being unable to block....

Package itself was a bit squashed when it arrived but the controller itself wasn’t damaged in any way. Connected automatically to my computer with no troubleshooting (windows 11). Which is the main reason I got it so I can play more PC games compatible to my controller without hassling through the bluetooth or a way to connect a controller. Just make sure you have the correct usb as it seems to only connect to the usb type A 2.0 not 3.0 usb type. It also was hard to plug and unplug smoothly without feeling like I’m going to rip out the port. Cord length is near perfect but isn’t well suited for if you want to play at a far range. It also isn’t compatible with newer Xbox consoles as it didn’t allow me to do anything on my Xbox Series S besides giving the flashing power light it has on the controller. For the price I can’t say you’ll get great durability and cool appearances out of it, if you’ve ever held a third party controller you can tell by the material they use(very easy to leave grease marks from hands) that your using one. If you need something quick and don’t know if you’ll use it long this is a great option for anyone that just wants a controller on hand for your PC. As for the buttons and sticks go, not bad but not great. The sticks and buttons feel durable but the analog sticks will definitely have problems with dead zones in fps video games or anything that requires high speed aiming without a little bit of tweaking to it or may be just the limitations to the controller.

Nice controller. Comfortable, responsive, and the cable is long enough that I don't feel too restricted sitting on the couch.

Original 5 star review: Perfect Xbox-like controller, works great and hasn't worn down yet! I extremely recommend this product to anyone who plans on PC gaming with this style remote. UPDATED to 3 stars: A couple years later, the bumper buttons stopped working entirely. Never got around to editing the review. it was good while it lasted but I didn't use it very often. Less than 10 hours total gaming use before the buttons stopped working.

For the price you pay, this controller is excellent. Everything works perfectly for me personally just as if I were using any expensive controller. This is great for people who are trying to save money and get a great controller for local co op or a new controller for themselves for single player and online play. There are two points worth mentioning, it's wired only, and you must handle with care. The controller is great but in my opinion, I would bet it is more fragile than more expensive brands. So if you drop this, it would most likely have less of a chance of still functioning properly as opposed to a Microsoft controller or any other expensive brand.

Works great identical to the one I had that came with the Xbox except the silver button don't have an x on it

When I first got it I thought to myself ok this isn't what I expected.... But as long as it worked I didn't care. I plug it in to the computer, (because that is what I bought it for, as well as a second Xbox controller) and the installing driver button came up like usual and then it told me it failed. This has happened with other devises and I am familiar with computers so I know how to manually install required drivers. I when and tried installing to driver manually but everything I tried to do failed.... It does work as a Xbox controller but in my opinion it is not a good purchase even if it does work with the Xbox. In my opinion do not buy this product, look for legit Xbox controllers or even pc game pads.
