My dad and I had a difficult time assembling this desk. We spend almost a day putting it together. The instructions were not very clear. We had to remove parts and place them in the appropriate areas over and over. That was the stressful part. Had to watch a YouTube video on how to assemble. Afterwards the desk is awesome looking, doesn't wobble. I like it.

Arrived on time, assembly was straight forward and easy. Wood on desk chips ridiculous easily, you could chip it with a fingernail or a dull paper clip. Alongside the questionable quality of the desktop, the structure itself is questionable and the desk shakes a fair bit when touched. looks cool tho

The desk turned out beautifully. Although we were cussing putting it together. Took about three hours to assemble. You need two people for part of the process. The desk is an espresso in color, very sleek. Here’s an after picture. We aren’t keeping the lamp there, my daughters lamp didn’t arrive when we took the photo: I was happy that it was on sale at a tremendous discount. I probably wouldn’t have purchased it at the regular price. The desk is also very spacious with a nice curved design. It worked out for us. Hope it goes for you as well.

For the price I bought this at, I couldn't be happier with what I got. More than enough space for my setup, the drawers easily fit the entire contents of my old desk, which had an undersurface drawer also filled up. A lot of the reviews on here claim that the desk took them 4 hours to build with them being experienced assembling furniture, I'm calling them on BS, it took me an hour and a half to build this and I've only built three ikea furniture kits before. The steps are broken down pretty nicely, to where each step focuses on a piece of hardware before essentially just fitting the faces together. I made one error by facing a piece the wrong direction, but it was probably a 5 minute fix because I noticed it pretty quickly. The metal used for some of the hardware can bend or strip pretty easily, so make sure to have a pair of pliers on hand in case you need to finish tightening a piece. Ideally they'd just use a stronger material but it's hardly a make or break point for me. All in all I am very happy with this one.

This Amazon description is false. The depth dimension is listed at 23.6, which is why I bought it. But no. It is not 23.6. It's only 23 inches for a very small segment of the desk, not the entire length. The majority of the desk is only 19 inches. This should be noted in the description. The drawers will not hold 10 lbs as advertised here. Maybe it could hold it for 10 seconds before snapping the bottom. Even relatively lightweight articles will cause this glorified cardboard bottom to warp permanently. The drawer bottoms either need stronger wood - like real wood - or bracing. I would have returned this, but I couldn't because Amazon decided to deliver it using their own drivers and I ended up losing several days of work because of it. It was supposed to be delivered Friday, then it switched from in processing at facility to out for delivery several times over several days before finally being delivered on Tuesday. By that time, I'd lost 4 days of work as I can't work without a desk and couldn't afford any more lost time due to their incompetence. Being as I had no option but to keep it, my husband had to install braces on the bottom of the shelves to make them usable. Beware of buying this desk. If you decide to, realize you will need power tools. I do not recommend it.

I purchased this desk to use in a 2nd home office space. The desk itself is durable however the paint has already begun to fade which makes the appearance now look horrible. I would not purchase again for this reason.
