Noella Electric Salt and Pepper Grinder Set: With LED Light, Quality Stainless Steel Construction - 100% Guarantee

Ok, I don't leave many reviews. Which, I really should do more, since I read others review's. Anyway, I digress, so you know I'm honest when I rate these a mega 5 stars. First, I love the look of these, simple and defined, a conversation starter. I keep em' out. Easy to use, I have no idea how someone couldn't figure out how to fill these or put the battery's in. Its a wonder how they've made it through life this long. They're salt & pepper shaker's people!! Now, the meat of these, how do they work. My salt grinder chews right through coarse salt. leaving fine & fresh salt with no problem, which I can see, in my not so well lit kitchen, thanks to the LED lights in the grinder's themselves. If you adjust the bottom of the grinders, they work like a champ, keep in mind they run on 4 double A's! The company stands behind their product. Now, so do I.

UPDATE 12/27/17 - the industrial glue did not hold, and one of the two grinders is now in 3 pieces and is completely incapacitated. Very disappointing considering 2 adults have used them no more than 2 times a day maybe 5 days a week and they have never been dropped or damaged. These had so much potential but the quality is lacking. Sad day. 😥The salt and pepper shakers fell apart within a month of purchase. The top metal part comes unglued very easily. We tried using an industrial strength glue to keep them together so we'll see how it holds up. Not the best quality for the price, however the grinder works well.

One was used from time to time for several years till the motor died. The top half cover also separated, so it didn't stay locked together, but that didn't stop it operating, it was just no longer easy to use, so it wasn't used as often. When it finally died, the second one came out of the box, that was about 3 months ago.The second unit self-destructed (the grinder part separated.) So I used the working motor half with the working grinder half to make one working unit, which then lasted about 3 months till a few days ago, the motor connection (plastic) to the grinder (metal shaft) loosened till it wouldn't turn the grinder.When they worked, they were a bit slow. Batteries lasted a long time.

10/10/17 - It's been about a year and a half and unfortunately, these didn't hold up. The one I had the Himalayan salt in started faltering first, a few months later. Definitely do not buy these for salt because they can't handle it. So, I removed the salt and put peppercorns in it too (although I didn't need 2 with peppercorns but what else can you do) and it worked for a couple of more months. Within that couple of months, the metal sleeve came loose so I had to hold it with both hands while pushing the button on the top so it wouldn't slide apart while I was using it, then a short time later, it would no longer grind. The motor is still going but I think the gears are stripped so nothing happens except it just clicks. I have tried adjusting the coarseness wheel and it works for a second, then starts slipping again. Eventually, the sleeve came loose on the one I had only had peppercorns in all along and the gears started slipping on it too. I guess considering the price, a solid year worth of use out of the one wasn't bad because I used it daily, but disappointed about the one that couldn't handle the salt.***************************************************************************************************************************************************************Love them! I love fresh ground pepper but my husband wouldn't use the conventional pepper grinder because he has trouble with his hands so I started looking for electric pepper grinders. I did a lot of reading reviews and researching before deciding on this set. Plus, it opened my mind to having a grinder for salt as well. The batteries were easy to install; it was easy to fill each one with salt and peppercorns and reassemble. I love the light that comes on when you press the button and the salt/pepper is dispensing so you can see where the salt/pepper is landing. There are covers on the bottom of each one so we don't have to worry about getting salt and pepper all over our counters between uses. The grind consistency is also adjustable from fine to coarse. It is adjustable from the bottom too, so you don't have to take it apart to adjust it. I hesitated to buy this set because there were a few reviews saying the grinders had difficulty grinding the salt. However, I ordered the Pink, Himalayan Salt from Spice Labs and it grinds through it with ease. My husband does his share of cooking in our house and he really likes these and uses them regularly also. Very happy with my choice!

We purchased a pair of these in November 2015. The grinder used for pepper worked great from the start. The salt grinder not quite. Turns out that the Himalayan Pink salt was to blame. it is a little too course, and perhaps to hard to work well in this grinder. Even thought this salt is advertised with this grinder, I do not recommend it for use with Noella, or any other salt grinder. Once we change to just a regular course salt it worked great, and the salt was much less expensive. By Summer of 2018 the grinder had begun to only grind intermittently. I believe it was just plugged up, and by grinding it upside down we were able to clear it, but it got worse, and eventually we determined that it had served well, and to just purchase a new set. When the new set, we kept the old pepper grinder since it was working fine and replaced the salt grinder. This is where the "ALMOST" in the headline comes in. The brushed aluminum cover does not fit as well as it did in the first one, and feels lose in use (has up and down play), and is difficult to remove and replace. It is obviously not as good as the first one, though in use it works fine. Because these grinders work so well, and because I believe that almost three years of continuous use with the salt grinder is good, particularly with the reasonable cost of the pair, I would love to give this a 5 star rating. However, the variation in quality drops it down to a 4 star rating based on consistency of quality.

Works great when it does work. Lasted less than a year. light no longer works on the pepper grinder and the salt grinder no longer works at all. I tried to contact the company before leaving a bad review, but it was just too difficult. They have no contact info on their website. I am single and live alone so it is not like it got a lot of use from multiple people. Very disappointed.

Having one hand and it and I’m able to use a soldier Peppermill manually, these work great. I love fresh the ground salt and pepper.

One year later, still very satisfied. I had to find a YouTube video to show how to refill, easy peasy when you see the demo.

One of the 2 grinders that came would not grind. The button was sticky and it seemed like the contact in the button was pretty cheap an intermittently made contact. The reservoirs are also tiny, and would need to be filled quite often in my household. I returned them..

Enjoying the use of these salt and pepper grinders. Need to make sure, good quality batteries are used.

I loved them for the first week, and then my salt one stopped working and I feel like the pepper one will quit soon too :( unfortunately the quality is low.
