NOW TV Smart Stick with 1 month Entertainment Pass | HD Streaming Media Player – Watch, Disney+, YouTube, Netflix, BBC iPlayer and more

This is not plug and play. You need to sign up for new contract. I already have now tv with bt but wanted stick for other tv. It dose not work as is for new set ups. This is not clearly explained when you buying it. I wasted all evening to try to set it up. Sending back now.

All good now but caused a bit of anxiety setting it up, not really just simply plug & play, one has to register individually with all the catch up channels & you have to enter passcode before every show or movie which is a bit irritating, but that's just the way it works. Make sure you Google how to improve the screen quality as mine was dreadful at first, blurred & pixelated, but easily resolved. The program selection process is similar to using the Wii if you've ever had one, so for instance you can't key in numbers as on a qwerty/smart phone, you have to move around each area using the remote & OK. That said it gives extra scope for viewing as I only had sky free channels before & was getting so sick of the same old repeats, so overall I'm very happy with it. Voice recognition so far pointless, it recognises what I've said but always responds with "I can't help you with...." It doesn't make sense to me but I don't need it anyway. Very good value from this seller & delivered quicker than stated

The positives: Easy to install, web, tablet and mobile phone compatible and decent content. Access to Youtube, Netflix, ITV player and other TV/Music Apps.The negatives : Terrible excuse for customer service. No way to speak, email or otherwise contact an actual human being other than via the complaints procedure. I found it a complete rip-off from day one. The package I bought stated I had free 1 week of various packages such as sports channels, movies, kids channels etc. to access when I choose. To access these a user must activate the subscption through the stick or app, I activated none, yet still found large sums of money being taken from my bank account by them. Merely browsing the potential content of these packages without actually activating them lead to charge after charge being taken from my account leaving me sorely out of pocket. As stated the support is virtually non existant apart from web-pages designed to address common issues. Non-addressed issues have no way to be addressed other than the complaints procedure.If you intend on subscribing to the full range of Movies, sports and kids channels you will likely be happy with the product. If not, prepare to access the one and only email.... complaints.

I am already using an introductory membership and am impressed with the number of series on offer so decided to get this stick for a non smart bedroom tv. No card in the box for the free trial instead it is preloaded. Once plugged into the HDMI socket the setting up procedure begins when the source on the tv is selected. Then you get to the screen that prompts you to register by entering the code displayed on your smartphone or pc. What isn't explained anywhere that I could see is the fact that those who already have membership this process will just freeze the screen. After several attempts I went to an online forum where the many complaints regarding this stick are dealt with. One suggestion was to use the remote to go to "settings" to reset it. On my remote there is no "settings" button. Nearly gave up after trying for over an hour until I used a different weblink for nowtv to sign in and once I did this it loaded up and works . My main concern is how hot the stick gets and will ensure that I only leave the power adaptor plugged in when it's in use. I see another user had concerns regarding the heat so assume it is worryingly normal. Best play safe and will keep checking while it's plugged in.

Arrived quickly and I got it at a cheap price. The product itself is great, can’t fault it, but I have a problem with my Now TV account and I can’t redeem my months pass, this had nothing to do with the stick, but just be aware that if you face any problems they are not contactable at this time due to Covid so you will be left waiting until the call centres re open. As I said the stick is great though, I can get the apps on my old non smart tv and I’m looking forward to my free months pass when I can get in contact with Now Tv.

In theory the now tv stick could be really good, it has all the streaming apps you could really want, and the sky exclusive content is up there with the best.But it's just soooooo difficult to use. Bugs, wifi connection problems, the remote stops working randomly and so much buffering. And the connection problems and 100% the fault of now tv, because we also have a fire stick that works perfectly.We bought the stick because of the low price, but in my opinion it is better to fork out a bit more and get something that actually works.If you look at the now tv community online help, you'll see that some of these problems have been happning since 2016, so I doubt they will be fixed any time soon. It's a real shame because the have a lot of tv shows you cant find anywhere else.

The NOWtv 'stick' is installed in our 9 year old Samsung 40" dumb 'smart' TV. It is Dumb because Samsung have failed to update the software to enable the latest UK BBC/ITV/netflix etc players to function. The NOWtv stick resolves this issue very well. Picture quality is better than the through the antenna.One the negative side the NOWtv stick, like the Amazon stick need to be plugged into a HDMI port and have a USB power supply. The power supply should come from the supplied adapter. However, the adapter is long and protrudes from the socket about 5cm (2") which is not good with a tight wall mounted install. Now the techy bit - the NOWtv stick needs 700mA 5V supply, my old TV has USB2 ports that only supply 500mA so are not sufficient. If you have a TV with at least 700mA USB output then you may be able to use this as a neater power source. (no guarantees from me, I am not an electrical engineer - if you have any doubts consult your TV supplier or use the adapter supplied).
