Marvellous for first time waffler!
I nearly sent this back concerned about non-stick toxicity. I considered getting the Breville with the ceramic plates but two waffles at a time isn’t enough. I also considered the stovetop cast iron makers but thought that would be a horrible, sweaty job that I wouldn’t look forward to.So I did a bit of research and found that since 2015 the coatings have improved and are not toxic to humans. So we had waffles this morning and they were first class. I made the chocolate sauce recipe from barefeetinthekitchen.com which was great and easy. I made the waffle mix using a sourdough discard recipe from bootbarn.com. I bought fry-light spray oil from co-op.The Lakeland waffle maker was absolutely splendid. I was concerned it didn’t have a timer. Which is silly as I have a kitchen timer. I was concerned it didn’t turn off automatically but then it’s safer for me to stand guard and actually they only took 4 mins for the first batch of four, and only 3 mins on the next few batches. The drip catcher is brilliant because the chef can eat the excess which is a huge bonus. I really love this machine. I would recommend it thoroughly. The waffles themselves were crispy and puffy, delicious and golden. For me there was no problem with inconsistent browning and the underside was cooked exactly the same as the topside.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Good waffle iron
This waffle iron works as expected. The drip trays catch some excess when you overfill which means you can fill it right up to avoid holes. Be careful of the heat of the outer plastic shell as this does get hot enough to be painful to touch, but still easy enough to use.

Great waffle maker
I was using the Lakeland mini waffle maker and decided to upgrade. This works really well, is easy to use and simple to clean. I mostly make chaffles with it and I’d recommend it.

Good but plates not removable
Very pleased with it. It's so much quicker to be able to cook 4 waffles at once for breakfast. I should mention I made gluten free waffles as I am ceoliac and ig dod not stick and cooked well through. You do have to oil the plates but that is mentioned in the manual and no bither to me. The deducted star is because considering the price (it was not cheap) I would have preferred the plates to be removable for washing, and an adjustable thermostat would have been a bonus.

Overall great purchase
Great itemHeats up quickCooks quickNon stickI use the krusteaz pancake mix from Costco and do not have to use any butter/oil on the waffle plate before hand therefore leaves the machine clean after usingDrip tray is a good addition If you were to overspill

Easy to use - you will always be able to rustle up waffles for dessert
This Lakeland waffle maker is easy to use and easy to clean. Provided you have the ingredients to make batter, and something that goes with waffles (ice cream, fruit, etc) you will be able to make quite impressive desserts when the kids ask "What's for pudding?". I prefer this 4 waffle version to the (many) 2 waffle machines available as it feeds more kids and/or gives options for second helpings.
