This was such a cute story! I know several children that could have been either boy in this story! I am looking forward to locating the next book in the series!

CHARACTERS: Our 6th graders in the story are Rex Dexter (our HERO!); Sami Mulpepper (smartest kid in class); Holly Creskin (is that the grand-grand father of The Amazing Kreskin?) — I think Holly likes Rex, but I think he’s nervous.; etc.. All of the kids are called by first and last names. But what about Darvish (Rex’s best friend). Does he have a last name? Is Darvish a spy? Is he an alien or from another planet or the universe? I wonder?Rex’s teachers are Ms. Yardley and Mr. Chutzpah, but only their last names, of course.DEAD ANIMALS: That’s right. They are DEAD! But really CUTE! The animals are Chicken (Drumstick), Rhino (Tater Tot), Elephant (Peanut), Panda (Mei Mei), and a Shark’s tush who’s attached to a Gorilla (Sea-Monster with only one name.)GREAT book! 5 stars. I can’t wait to get book 2!!

After trying out the grim reaper fortune machine and losing, Rex is cursed. The ghosts of animals who have mysterious died at the local zoo appear to him and won't go away until the mystery is solved. It may sound spooky, but it is actually very funny. This book will keep you laughing right up to the end. And, it looks like it may be the first in a series!

The book was in great condition. My daughter needed it for her school book club and she really enjoyed the story . She wants to read the other books now too.

My son hates to read independently. This is a Florida Sunshine State Book, which I always have my students read (I teach fifth). We both read this book and really enjoyed it. It caught his attention quickly and held it throughout the story. This is a great choice for boys who struggle to find fiction that’s enjoyable.

My 8year old and 6 year old girls (and their parents) all loved this book. Very entertaining and not as dark as it kind of sounds. They also loved this author’s read aloud books (Creepy Carrots and Creepy Underwear) which is why we bought this chapter book.

This book is so entertaining. My 7 year old loves it.

I'm hoping my Grandson will love this book. The title says it all for a tween. Boys and their gross stuff.
