Well-made, flexible set
Others have commented on the comfort and usability of this set, with which I concur. Note that, as of June 2024, the list of possible weight combinations for these dumbbells is incorrect, both on Amazon and the manufacturer's website. 19 different weights per dumbbell are possible: every weight combination between 2.5 and 50 lbs in 2.5 lb increments. It is this capability that caused me to choose this set over several others, since for certain exercises, this degree of fine-grained control is valuable to me. The PowerBlock dumbbells that have 10 lb plates are not quite so configurable; settings like 22.5 or 32.5 lbs are not possible with those. They are possible with this set. Note, however, that this set cannot be expanded beyond 50 lbs. That's not an issue for me -- I'd rather have the more flexibility configurability.

Liked the new look, not as clunky

Great adjustable weights!
I love powerblock weights just passed my sport 24 set down to my daughter so obviously had to get myself an upgrade. Powerblock is easy to use, adjusting weight is easy once you get used to the weight selection, and they are durable and built to last.

Pricy but well worth the cost
As someone who is a beginner in weights, I chose to purchase the Pro 50 as it has a minor advantage over the Pro 50 EXP or the Sport/USA models. The Pro 50 goes from 5LB to 50LB in 2.5LB increments allowing for a very steady increase in weights. This is because each additional plate adds 5LB. On the other hand, the EXP model needs to save space in order to accommodate the extra 40LBs of expansion plates. This means that each plate is a 10LB increase. Because of the adder weights and the weight of the handle itself, this is not a large issue but it means you be unable to exercise with 12.5/22.5/32.5/42.5 weights and instead jump directly to 15/25/35/45.Additionally, the Pro models have plates that are coated. This results in less noise when the product is in use and also helps to protect surfaces where you may place the dumbbells on. Even with the coating, there is still an audible noise when you use the dumbbells. The adder weights do rattle a fair amount and the weights do make a slight bumping sound against the handle. Despite that, it's still quiet enough for me to use in the dead-end of night without waking up the other inhabitants of the house. One extremely minor downside to the PowerBlock over other dumbbells from competitors like Bowflex is the increased space required to operate. With Bowflex or other dumbbell adjustment systems, you can twist/spin a part of the product to change the weights. PowerBlock requires a specific amount of clearing on the sides of both dumbbells so you can use the selector pin. While this is more compact than having an entire set of actual dumbbells, this means that you can't have it flush against the wall on one side.

THESE ARE NOT EXPANDABLE!
Powerblock dumbbells are an amazing concept, they are well built and very nice to have. This set is advertised as expandable, it is not.If you’re looking to only go to 50#, great set, otherwise, if you’re like me, you’re stuck with an expensive set of weights that cannot help you

Delivery is very tricky, but product is great
Original post (1 star): The product is fine (works as described and item is good), but the description is incorrect. It says "Sold in Pairs" in the title; it says the box contains 2 items; and the product picture shows two dumbbells. However, it's one single dumbbell. You need to buy two in order to have a pair of dumbbells. I searched in the Q&A and reviews, and it isn't clarified or even mentioned. Product description is wrong and buyers should beware.EDIT (5 stars): Apparently it is a pair. The dumbbells are sent in 2 boxes, but Amazon's picking system sometimes forgets the 2nd box. I contacted Amazon customer service and they fixed it for me. If this happens to you, talk to customer service and they'll fix it.

THIS MODEL NOT EXPANDABLE
I bought these and loved them until I realized that, contrary to the inaccurate product title, this model is NOT expandable. If you want the expandable version, you need the PRO EXP, which as of this writing is not available on Amazon. Do not buy this product if you want to expand to 70 or 90 lbs. With this model you are capped at 50 lbs max (per dumbbell.) After an hour long support chat and an $81 restocking fee (which I'm told will be refunded), I'm off to buy the correct set directly from the manufacturer.

Convenient and Easy to use.
I am 66 years old and decided to invest in my health by purchasing these adjustable dumb bells. In the past, I have used "Go Fit" stretch tubing for my work out. I used them for years.I am very happy with my decision to go with these adjustable weights. 50 lbs. was all I needed. The exercise benefits with these weights are so much better than the stretch tubes. In addition to the weights I purchased the Power Block Sports Table and a stand for the weights. All the Power Block equipment is first rate. Along with the equipment, they have great videos showing you how to exercise (I enjoy the 24 minute full Body workout video by Clark Bartram). They have many other videos showing you what exercises to do with their equipment.I had to call their support team on the first day of receiving Pro50. The team was professional and very helpful. I felt like I was part of company that cared about their customers and was quality oriented. I highly recommend the PowerBlock Pro 50 and any product that this company sells.
