Amazing improvement!
Two months ago, I had a custom saddle built on an existing 50 year old mesquite tree. (I found the tree in Mexico in perfect condition) This has been an amazing process and the saddle is 90% perfect. My issue was the new stirrups and leather fenders....so stiff and that equates to knee and ankle pain trying to break everything in over time. These stirrup turners were EXACTLY what I needed. Holy cow! Immediate comfort and correct placement. They do add length so you definitely need to adjust your stirrups. I ended up going up three holes for proper leg placement after adding these. Fortunately, my saddle maker measured my short legs and added extra holes to compensate. The addition of these turners means I can mount safely from anywhere and instantly find my right stirrup without looking. The stirrups stay in the correct angle and are balanced even on rough, steep mountain trails. That's a big deal out in the Big Bend desert mountains of West Texas. Installation was quite simple and took just a few minutes. My only complaint is because these are so thick and stiff (they have to be) my ankles can take a beating after several hours on the trails. Even in tall boots. I've begun wrapping them in vet wrap just to add a bit of cushion and that has helped significantly. I'm coming in from hard, long rides without limping anymore because my stirrup placement is finally set up correctly.

Relieves the stress put on your knees and makes it comfortable when breaking in a saddle!
These stirrup turners work great! I have someone else riding my horse and she is so short that stirrups had to go all the way up to top holes . So they work even when they are up all the way. She couldn’t of ridden without them. Also helps with relieving the stress on the knees! They’re also great for breaking in new saddle because it can be uncomfortable trying to break it in! Will continue them for me too! Very happy

Works well for the most part
These serve their purpose, but the nuts on the end fell off quite quickly as they do not screw into the bolt very far.

Great concept, but very uncomfortable shape
I was really hopeful that these would be an easy fix for my stirrups. They were super easy to put on with no tools needed and seemed to put my stirrups in the desired position. The problem was that as soon as I got in my horse I realized they extended the length of my stirrups by quite a bit. I got off and had to shorten the length on my stirrups by 2 holes. My fenders are nylon so they bent easily, but were so short now it was causing them to bow outward. The second and most problematic issues was the the corners of the stirrup turners jabbed into my leg. There was no way to adjust them to alleviate that problem. Unfortunately I have to return them.

This Newbie is Stunned
After a seasoned equestrian wrote a post to "turned those stirrups already," I heeded her advice for safety reasons. What I was not expecting was the difference it would make when the horse went into a trot. For years I've been trying to figure out how to get balanced to handle the trot.Video after video has been watched and every time the horses went into a trot, it felt like I was a bobblehead doll about to be launched head over heels off my horse. It did happen to my husband and it was terrifying and traumatizing. After installing these stirrup turners, I was amazed at how comfortable I was for a change. It was like my body slid into proper position without effort and my legs were comfortable instead of feeling like I was stiff-legged and bracing for impact.Because I was comfortable and my feet and knees felt comfy, I decided to try asking my horse to go into a trot. It was amazing! It was exactly what I thought it should have felt like and never did. I was getting discouraged about my riding skills. I'm still going to take riding lessons to continue growing and in the meantime, I feel more safe and confident in the saddle than I ever have.Bonus, these are not metal so it does not add more weight to the saddle making it awkward, difficult, or heavier. It's rare for me to get this excited about a product and, as a result, product reviews are not something I spend a lot of time doing.I highly recommend these. As a beginner, I finally feel confident riding the trot because I'm not fighting the stirrups and fenders while trying to focus on everything else that is a part of learning how to ride. These also helped add a little more length to the stirrups for my 6'4" husband so his legs are in a better position in his saddle too instead of sitting in the saddle like a race jockey. This made a world of difference for these newbies. Thank you.

Now there is no reason to try to endure ankle pain while riding.
I like just about everything about this stirrup turner. I can't think of anything negative. I was concerned about matching the color of my saddle and a lot of other things that didn't materialize. So, what can I tell you that will answer your questions? First - it is well built and should last for a good long time. Second - I found it easy to assemble just by looking at the pictures, which is necessary because there are no instructions. Third - it looks classy, like it was always part of the saddle. There isn't anything about the color that makes it stand out as an "orphan" part. I think the difference in coloring gives a nice contrast. Fourth - it does what I wanted to do. The stirrup is held at an angle that gives a secure, solid footing witihout twisting your ankle, like it did before. I did have to reset the fender because the stirrup holder is a bit longer than the original stirrup. That construction is great but the way I mounted it the first time caused the only issue I had. I wasn't paying attention when I installed them the first time. The stirrup holder is mounted to the saddle with a very sturdy bolt that has a rounded top. On the other end the nut and bolt protrude just a hair, enough to cause some discomfort to my ankle as the end of the bolt bumped me frequently while riding. It took only a moment to correct that. If you put the rounded part of the bolt closest to your ankle that problem disappears. So, other than that little difficulty I think everything was better than I expected. Fifth - the price is right, a real value for your money.

These are great but do add a lot of length to your stirrup (ok for me as a tall rider but friends with short legs who struggle getting short-enough fenders for their saddles think these wouldn't work for them)
