Great Affordable Dash Cam with Awesome Support!
Great camera combo kit of Dash Cam front and rear with 64GB card, with awesome support!First thing that caught my attention when it arrived is how neat the build quality is. Setup with the application was very fast and straightforward. In addition to the app physical buttons allow for configuration and emergency video recording without requiring the app.Installation was easy with the hardest part being the cable routing from the back camera all the way to the front, with a single cable for power and data of less than 1/8" and quite long, making it easy to pass. I was afraid of the sticker and possible residue in the windshield however the camera is glued with a sticker to the static film and the film goes in the windshield, which provide a very sturdy support and I have no concerns with my windshield. It is worth noting that the package comes with an additional sticker and film in case you need.Rendered videos are clear and of good quality. You have the option to have date and time, speed and GPS coordinates on the bottom of the video. In addition, you can have an overlay which will add some graphical views of some of those details but more importantly also add a G-Force meeter, which is fantastic in case you're trying to prove you hit the brakes before an accident for example. There are two areas in which I wish they would improve the Dash Cam:- Video export is very slow through the app, with a 3 minute video export taking about 20 minutes.- If you have a vehicle that provides power all the time the camera offers an option to automatically turn off after a few minutes without movement, however to turn it back on you have to press the lower button to "awaken" the cam again. It would be perfect if the cam could resume recording upon detecting motion again.Support and Warranty:Alas, my camera presented a defect after several months of use. Contacting 70mai was easy from their site and support was fantastic. At first with detailed instructions and tests to validate there was no configuration problems and the typical "resets", but once the troubleshooting was done they sent me a replacement without further trouble. I'm very pleased with their support and warranty.

Perfect dashcam for everyday use!
I've been using this dashcam for over 2 years. It's incredibly easy to install and stable to use. The video quality is outstanding, and also emergency video can be recorded when there is violent shaking. The only problem I ran into is it keeps complaining my SD card is damaged. But the issue was addressed after upgrading firmware. BTW, updating firmware is super easy over a phone.Overall, this dashcam has exceeded my expectations, and I highly recommend it for anyone looking for reliable, high-quality recording.

Well-made and easy to use, with one drawback
I had a cheap off-brand dash cam mounted to my windshield for about 4 years. I never really looked at the footage as it wasn't easy to get to (you had to remove an SD card and take over to a PC to view). I had no idea that the SD card had failed and the camera wasn't doing much of anything. So, I decided it was time to look for something similarly compact and unobtrusive, but with WiFi access to the actual footage. I tried a number of competitors with questionable build and software quality until I happened upon this little gem.I changed out my existing Mini-USB hard wire kit for the 70mai three wire (with ACC) micro-USB hard wire kit. This allows for parking surveillance mode and also reduces reliance on the built-in battery, which is known to fail over time (and is replaceable). I then used the included 3M VHB tape mount to adhere to the area just behind my rear view mirror. Due to its compact size, you can barely tell it's there and the display doesn't catch your eye with the mirror blocking it. That said, you can easily crane your neck a bit to see the screen and manipulate the interface if needed. That interface is pretty slick as far as non-mainstream brands go. My only complaint is that the startup sound (even with the latest firmware) sounds like it took inspiration from the Windows '95 startup chime. It's a little tacky and you can't disable it fully (although you can disable the rather obnoxious beeps it uses to confirm button selection). The app works fairly well and you can enable WiFi full-time if you want to have a continuous connection to the camera.Recording quality for a camera in this cost segment is above average. Its highest resolution is not a widescreen aspect ratio, so I opted for the medium, 1080P resolution. It is clear enough to see significant detail, including license plates, at night. Really, unless you're in the habit of viewing your footage on a 70" TV, you don't need full 4K resolutions to get the needed detail about a traffic incident.I really like the overall design of the camera - as I said, it is unobtrusive and easy to find a good spot to mount. Updating the firmware is pretty easy and the app works well enough for what it is. The battery was a significant concern when I read other reviews that suggested it failed after a couple of years - but I have since found that replacements are easily sourced on Amazon and replacement looks to be a breeze (there are several videos on YT). The only real downsize in my view is that this camera gets HOT - like, hot to the touch around the body - even when ambient temps aren't so hot. That's a problem with something mounted to the windshield with regular exposure to the Florida sun.I have not had the camera fail to work, nor have I missed out on any recordings, but I must say it is a little disconcerting when you go to handle the camera and find it hot to the touch (not enough to burn you, but it wouldn't take more than a few degrees more to do so). I'm not sure if they're using the case as a heatsink for some of the components inside, but this seems like it will have an impact on longevity over the long run. Regardless, with a few weeks of use in at the time of this review, I will say that it's worked flawlessly. My only other criticism is with the 70mai hardwire kit, but that's a different product entirely, so I'll save my comments for that review. I only mention it here because you need that kit if you want to use parking surveillance mode. That's not something I ever felt the need to have (my car spends most of its time parked in my garage), but it is reassuring when I do park it publicly or leave the car with a valet. It works well, the sensitivity to trigger recording works reasonably and I've not had my car's battery significantly drained (and I have checked it with the car sitting for several days). Obviously this particular model only records out the front, but I understand that you can add on a rear-facing camera as well if need be.All-in-all, this camera is well-priced, has a slick design, is easy to install, and works reasonably well with a few minor niggles. If it holds up over the long run, I'll be thrilled!

Exactly What I was looking for
Great camera. It has good picture quality and works pretty well at night. It comes with good instructions and shows you a recommended way of hiding the cords. Bought for our Kia Carnival and it has plenty of cord to reach the rear door for the rear camera.

Great value for the money
I had an older 70mai dashcam model and it did a great job for the money until the battery died after around 5 years of usage. Replacing the battery didn't work as it required a special soldering device for tiny connections. Having a screen wasn't important since I normally set it the way it's hidden by the rear view mirror. But it comes handy when installing the device and just to check time to time recording is on. Pairing with a device is easy. Both my cars have 70mai dashcams. I had an update for another model last year. So 70mai seems to care about their software. Their dashcams are a good value for the money.
