Q: Does it make boots waterproof

Our boot polish protects and keeps leather supple and soft in addition to shining it; but it doesn't in and of itself waterproof your leather footwear. Consider looking at our 54033 Snow Shield and 54036 Grizzly Grease items that both indeed waterproof your footwear very well. They apply easily and penetrate into your boot seams to help keep out the water. A handy trick is to use a portable hair dryer once you apply the paste so it softens and finds its way deep into the seams and threads that catch the most water.

Q: Will the neutral color work on medium brown boots? I dont want my boots to darken with medium brown polish.

I’m not 100% sure since I have not used the neutral color before. I would think your boots might darken a tiny bit because the leather will become soft and have some moisture added to it from the neutral color polish.

Q: Do I apply before or after grizzly grease?

I think it’s either or. Grizzly grease looks to be a leather treatment product. If my boots were beat up I would probably use the shoe cream to get a little color back then wipe away any extra so I could then put a good coat of the grizzly grease on. I’ve used just the crème on my boots and it seems to keep the leather waterproof and looking good.

Q: where is the item made?
