Victorinox Swiss Army One-Hand Sentinel Clip Swiss Army Knife 54886

I love SAKs and have a bunch. I love the blade style on this one. Cuts like a straight blade and has the utility of a serrated when needed. I do like the slim design and the fact it has a clip! Makes edc much easier.However, I was a little thrown regarding the handle feel. It feels thin and kinda cheap and when you tap it with your finger it sounds hollow almost. I was expecting a standard handle or maybe the handle from the soldier 08. Oh well. Victorinox is still an awesome company.

I like this knife. I've always been a fan of Victorinox knifes. This knife is very funcitonal! I bought both the, serrated w/belt clip, and the non-serrated clip-less versions.As far as straight blade versus serrated, I would say serrated. especially if you are planing to use this knife daily, it is more functional to get the serrated w/belt clip version. Also unlike most other serrated blades the serration starts 1/3 up the blade! I like this feature, useful as a steak knife, putting the serration where you need it, at the end of the blade. And the straight blade at the base of the blade gives you more control when carving or whittling; closer to your hand.They have a key ring at the base of the handle but it's not practical as a keychain.My only complaint is, the fact that unlike every other one-handed action knife I have ever used, once you have locked the blade open, the lock snaps to the right locking the blade in place. This knife requires that you push left, making it very hard to close with one hand.

This knife is not up to par with Victorinox. Mine came with burs that had to be removed and some kind of gunk all over the blade. The locking mechanism in my opinion is dangerous. It is very hard to move far enough to get the blade to close. Some day I fear I will end up cutting my finger off.

I like the Swiss Army line and own and use a bunch of them. I ordered this one to use as just that; a knife. I liked it because it did not have all the tools that sometimes are not needed, and I wanted a locking blade and the liner lock; while an old design, is a simple lock and more reliable than most. This one works well, but in my opinion the liner lock is on the wrong side of the blade and tends a right handed person has to reach ACROSS the sharpened edge and PULL the lock out of the way to close the blade, putting said thumb in peril, as opposed to PUSHING the lock out of the way to close the blade from the side where the thumb is located. A small issue, but in a quick "use it and close it" situation it is much easier to cut yourself. The only other issue I have is the serrations on the blade. They work well, but are on the tip end of the blade and should be on the hilt end with a smooth, non serrated tip of the knife blade for fine work. (ever tried to remove a hang nail from the side of your finger with a serrated tip of the blade?) The blades in these knives are generally easy to sharpen and take a razor edge and a non serrated tip and point is far superior, and the serrated portion should be farther back toward the handle for heavy work if needed. (I would prefer a non serrated blade but could not get one in this model) The pocket clip works well, and appears to be sturdy.

Best clip knife for daily work I've owned. Never rusts and I don't feel bad abusing it. Fourth one I've owned.

This was completely satisfactory as to price, transaction and product. Communication with and prompt, secure shipment by the seller was excellent. This model knife lacks additional tools beyond the knife and belt clip, but the features which led me to select it are present in quality form. I find that blade locking feature on this knife is superior to the side-handle lock on my prior Victorinox knife (which was stolen).I have no hesitation to recommend both seller and this model knife.
