Works well for Nespresso Pixie
Really good value for money being able to re-use pods for my Nespresso Pixie machine. It is also great to be able to use one's own coffee: I have found a fine grind works well. Filling the pods can be tricksy, but is easy enough to do without spilling coffee everywhere. I have found that leaving a little bit of space under the lid is often required for the machine to work

A faff, but worth it to reduce waste
As a long time Nespresso machine user, I've gone through thousands of pods. The issue is, there is so much waste. I used to order them direct; they would pick up my bag of used pods with their next delivery. They stopped this pick-up and recycle service for some reason, so I stopped going direct.I bought these recently as I wanted to reduce waste primarily and secondly so I could use any coffee bean; in theory it's a win/win.They are a little fiddly to use. You have to concentrate to fill, tamp, and seal them. But after that, they work just like disposable pods.I ran an experiment with one disposable pods, and one reusable pod. The reusable pod was filled with the contents of a second disposable pod - the contents fitted exactly - with a little tamping.I found that with the reusable pod there is a little water left in the machine tray, which makes me think maybe the rubber ring isn't performing as well as it could.I also found that the seal often leaves the adhesive on the pod when I removed the foil. The colours are pretty close. The disposable pod produced a slightly darker brew - see photosThe crema was pretty close too. The disposable pod produced slightly more - see photosThere is a little faff, but the taste is the same, and there is significantly less waste. We collect the used grounds so that our children can make their own coffee scrubs (add a little coconut or olive oil, and a little caster sugar).I'll stick with the reusable pods for while - and keep a back-up stash of disposable pods, for those times when I can't be bothered with the faff.

Better than expected! Exceeds all expectations.
The main reason for my purchase was to try and find a good reusable pod, compatible with my Nespresso Creatista Plus machine. After searching all over Amazon for it, I came across this one. I was a little hesitant as reviews are all over the place. It was quite easy to fill the pod with coffee. We actually used coffee from Vertuo pods that my in-laws didn’t like (personal taste) as it was going to be for uses like this - pods they don’t want, special seasonal coffee blends, etc.Personal preference was 2 shots so the process was repeated twice. For those who reviewed saying it was a bit of a nuisance if doing more than one shot, I fail to understand how different it is to a typical pod - you can only put one into the machine at a time…Back to the product. It worked like a charm, simply by using the very basic and clear instructions. The actual cleaning of the pod took me about 15 seconds max, including removal of the sticker. The coffee tasted just as nice as if it had been from the “original” pod. I wouldn’t have noticed the difference in taste nor strength.Additional note: Yes, the pod will be hot because it’s stainless steel and has just been blasted with boiling water. Easy fix is to quickly run it under cold water. That will make it manageable for those unable to hold a hot object for more than a few moments.

Passable... but you need x2 capsules per coffee.
I bought these with the hope of saving money, reducing the environmental Impact of single use capsules, and being able to experiment with my own coffees.... but I didn’t want to compromise on taste.I have played around with volume of coffee in the capsule and how much I compact it (or don’t) but it remains poor in comparison with the Nespresso capsules. The main issues being the amount of leakage into the drip tray & lack of coffee coming out for the various settings on top. On the rare occasions I have been able to get adequate volume of coffee through-it starts great, but becomes watery too quickly. Presumable this is simply due to the fact it can’t store as much coffee as an original capsule? If I just select the smallest espresso level, and have x2 capsules then it’s not too bad at all.... but that doesn’t really achieve the aim of saving money! At 9.5p per lid (if you buy 100 at a time) x2 of them =19p plus the coffee person drink... you might as well buy the Nespresso capsules and recycle them.I like the idea, they’re easy to use and clean, but the system needs to tick the boxes at the start of my review... it doesn’t quite do this enough for me to recommend the product.

Water coffee - very disappointed
I loved the idea of these, however no matter how I pack the coffee, it leaks and is very watered down. I see other reviews, and have kept trying and trying, and have given up. So disappointed because of the high cost of these and they do not work :/.

Little waste and easy to use
I've been using these for 3 months now and wouldn't want to go back to buying pods! They are easy to clean and fill, with the bonus of me choosing my own coffee. There is minimal waste - just the foil lid as the coffee grounds go for worm composting. Some reviews comment on the adhesive left on the metal pod after use. This hasn't happened often to me, but it's easy to peel off once you get it started with a finger nail. I let the pods cool down in the machine and that also helps any excess water drain and makes cleaning less messy. My pods have been in the dishwasher many times without ill effect (in the cutlery basket). My favourite coffee brand so far has been the Illy classico moka pot. I'm using the Costa espresso blend at the moment which isn't working out as well - I think it's not ground fine enough for the capsules.
