Beautiful piece of art.
This blade (and handle) is much higher quality than I was expecting. It feels solid and has a formidable weight. It is a simple and elegant design, it would make a great display piece (you could also say it’s just a really nice pen case 😂 - it doesn’t look like a weapon). It is sharp enough to shave with, out of the box. The wood is beautiful. It feels a lot more solid than a tanto made with a plastic handle (which I did compare it to). It is discreet above all else and there is not doubt in my mind it would be extremely functional in any setting that it may be needed for. I may be buying one to gift to someone because it is truly a gem. It is balanced best for wielding, not throwing.

Solid knife
Not sure what to expect when I ordered this! Haha! It's actually higher quality than I thought. The knife looks pretty solid and the metal is fairly beefy. It's pretty sharp and time will tell how long it holds its edge. I figure the thickness of the blade should give quite a few sharpenings at the very least. It also has a really nice satin finish so the knife doesn't look super extra like it would if the blade was mirror polished. The wood handle and sheath fit well and there aren't any big gaps when it's closed. The stain is nice and even, and the color is uniform across both the handle and sheath. I hate mismatched hardware so it's a nice touch which gives it a premium look.Overall fit and finish is excellent. Only thing I can knock is the lack of guard. Don't go stabby stabby with it or you might slice your fingers if it slips in your hand. Overall, it's a pretty nice light utility and presentation knife.

A must have!
An amazing price point for such a simple yet elegant, "homage" to the Japanese Hari Kari style knife! The full tang design feels solid and has a great edge!

Sharp and sleek looking tanto, with one considerable flaw.
I've had the time to use it, and I'm very impressed with the quality for the money. The steel is a great steel for the price, the tanto has a great edge, which I'll go further into later. Nothing wobbles in the blade and it holds well in the hands. Now for the cons. The scabbard for the tanto has a weird issue that makes the tanto sit flush with it on one side, but if you insert the tanto in on the other side, it has a small gap. Not too noticeable but it plays into a bigger issue. I found out that after using the tanto and resheathing it, it has loosened up quite badly. I was carrying it the other day and because there's no noticeable difference between the scabbard half and the knife handle, I grabbed the wrong part. The knife slid out almost immediately and slashed my thumb open badly. This was half my fault, and half the ill fitting scabbard's. I have corrected the issue with the poor fitting by gluing in a wood chip. Now it holds correctly and will not fall out without violently shaking it. Further cut tests proved successful on paracord, wood whittling, fruits and veggies, and tough steak. The edge is still razor sharp. With all things considered, for the money this tanto costs, it's a great steal. Take a lot of caution with the scabbard, inspect it and modify it if needed. Hopefully you have better fitting furniture than mine did. Over all, this knife makes a great collector's piece or a fine functional knife with a little modification if necessary.I will edit if anything changes.

Great for tge cost
This is a really nicely made knife, for the money. Good sjarp blade and the sheath feels durable, and feels like wood, whether it is or not. Snug fit, pulls easily. Interior looks a little cheap, but i actually love this tanto.

Great piece for the price!
I am a big fan of knives and swords and have been all my life. The asian designs have always been my favorite. Very fast shipping from this company and I am surprised at how well the craftsmanship is! Definately a piece you need if you like to collect blades of this style. Highly reccomend.

please read the review
when you get the knife it will be hard to get the knife out of the wood it self and even if you take the knife out when you put it back in it will be hard to take it out so you will have to do it a couple of times for it to go out smooth.the wood is super glued so one time when i tried to put back the knife the knife went through the wood so the wood breaked so i had to super glue it again .... the good thing about the knife it is sharp and it has a nice Design in my opinion

Decent but it's just a wall piece really
Overall it's cool, craftsmanship I sadly desired more for the price. Blade is thick and decently shsrp, handle seems sturdy enough, but the real issue is the sheth, it looks pretty but whatever glue is used to bind the 2 half's together is trash.. it's split almost completely in 2 when I pulled the blade out. So I reglued it and put some string and tape tightly around it so hopefully it will hold better.
