How to go deeper
I found this book to be an insightful extension of Keith's work in Never Eat Alone. I am a recruiter so many of the concepts in Keith's first book resonated with me and how I have built my network. This book offers an important and deeper insight into how to build important and more intimate business relationships. I expected to love the book what I didn't expect was he keen observation that many people who excel at relationship building often fail at asking their network to help them. I felt that Keith did an outstanding job of pointing out the psychology behind this and how to build your lifeline relationships. I think we all know why we need lifeline relationships but this guide helps to make it actionable.

An Ambitious and Challenging Program
Keith's first book, "Never Eat Alone" focused on networking. I heard Keith speak in Atlanta, and he stated that even beyond being well-networked, each of us needs a personal Board of Directors in order to be successful. This group will help you succeed by giving you candid, honest and caring feedback as well as holding you accountable. Keith is a wonderful resource; this book challenges each of us to become vulnerable in order to grow. It is an ambitious and challenging program.

Paramount guide for creating a personal team of advisors
Having read "Never Eat Alone" it was hard for me to believe there was another book to be made about creating business relationships. I was dead wrong. I devoured this book over the course of a weekend gaining insights in every chapter. Time and again throughout the book, I saw myself in Mr. Ferrazzi's stories and examples. Having just started a new consultancy, WGYB has given me an enormous gift to start this journey. By asking for help when I need it and truly searching for those mentors/business associates that will be true "partners", my relationships will be stronger and, ultimately, my business will benefit.Thank you Keith for your many words of wisdom!

A must read for anyone wanting to create a career
I read this book when it first came out and ever since have recommended it to clients and students. I teach at UCLA Extension and I've noticed that an ever growing number of my students are interested in learning how to form real-world networks. Social media savvy, they're now realizing that "something" is missing - and that something is what Ferrazzi writes about with practical insight: how to create and nurture relationships that help you become more of who you're meant to be.Simply put - this is essential reading!

Networking vs. Building deep relationships
What's so interesting about this book is that it's much more different than Keith Ferrazzi's original "Never Eat Alone." That book is centered around networking and building solidified relationships. Yet, there is a strong dichotomy between those willing to stand by your side during times of turmoil vs. those who are only with you because they're riding your coat-tails while you are successful. It's funny how people disappear once things hit the fan.

The Value of a Personal Board of Directors
I had a chance to hear Keith speak, and also read his other book - Never Eat Alone. This one, as noted by a few other reviewers, has some good insights, but is probably twice as long as is needed, and emphasized the importance of having a personal board of directors to help with guidance and decision making. That board should not be made up of friends, necessarily, but of people who will challenge you and your assumptions, and drive you to being the best you can be. Ferrazzi's anecdotes and advice is solid, if somewhat repetitive to his other book and many other similar books out there. The most interesting aspects of the book and the best insights revolve around Ferrazzi's own challenges in the growth phase of his own company. A worthwhile read, and probably worth 3.5 stars if I could give it that, but since it is well overstarred here, I will downgrade it to a 3.

Keith Ferrazzi doesn't disappoint
I read Never Eat Alone years ago and so did my dad. We both loved it so much and he's mentioned it so many years that I told him I'd get his other book. Well just like Keith talks about his dad loving this book is just like my dad. He's basically repeating Napoleon Hill 's Mastermind Group from think and grow rich but it breaks it down deeper in such a good way.

Profoundly Good
The book is good, profoundly so.Why? Two reasons1. It's well-written. It flows easily and with humour as it comes from a place of deep authenticity, humility and desire to help. It's also interlaced with case studies both external to Keith's experience and internal (from his own personal and business experience).2. It aims (and if implemented will) foster Good through better work/business relationships AND results.
