Nice product, fair price.
This is a great first (sit-on-top) kayak for kids. It's very stable and difficult to capsize. My under-5 grandson had no idea it could be capsized, so he bounced around on it and never came close to turning it over, even when sitting sideways and dangling his legs over the side and waterfighting with a water cannon. The hull is designed to resist being turned over and succeeds at that. The beach sand that kids inevitably get into the boat on the beach quickly washes out of the boat through the scupper holes, so it's kind of self-cleaning. The plastic two piece paddle that comes with it has a metal shaft and is light enough for small kids to handle. I ended up towing the boat after awhile (kids get tired, don't they?) and I though it towed easily enough with my kayak. There is a drain plug in case water gets inside the hull, but after a day of tough use, mine didn't take on any water to drain out. My only complaint is that it came festooned with a lot of safety stickers that one might wish to remove for aesthetic reasons. I think this is a nice product at a fair price.

Great starter Kayak!!
We purchased this kayak for my son who is 6 years old. It is perfect for him to use at the beach. He is on the smaller side, I would say he is about 42" and just 44lbs. He is able to maneuver and get around in the kayak perfectly. It took him about 5 minutes to get comfortable. Now he will jump in his boat and just go out and paddle around, etc. This kayak is a PERFECT "starter" boat for a child, It is super light and includes the paddle. You can't beat the price with shipping to your door. The kayak itself weighs about 20lbs, so it isn't too hard to move around. We were able to easily load the boat and the paddle into the back of my Honda minivan. The only feature I wish this boat had was some kind of rigging cord to hold the paddle on the kayak when it is sitting. On our full size kayaks you have a groove to place your paddle and secure it to the boat using a bungee cord. The weight limit on the boat is approx. 120lbs, so I anticipate this kayak to be used for the next several years. Very happy with this purchase.

Awesome kids kayak!
My nephews absolutely love this kayak! The 4 year old paddles himself around pretty well. He is able to pull himself up on the swimming platform to get in the boat. Positions himself himself paddle and off he goes!! And the 2 year old likes to try to paddle too.3 kids were all playing on it, using it as a swimming raft and it held pretty sturdy. Needed an adult to hold it so it didn't fly away when someone jumped off, but that's no problem!A really sturdy, durable kayak for kids of all ages! And my 4 year old nephew can even draw the kayak up on the beach by himself! He's so proud of himself when he does it, and we like that he is responsible responsible cleaning up after himself.Great product!! Highly recommend!

Great so far!
Bought this for our 7 year old son. We've gone out once. He said he loved it. He did fall out/off once which i think is typical for beginners/kids and typical for sit on top kayaks. It would have been nice if the kayak came with handles, but we did find them separately here on Amazon and my husband put one on just straight across the back of the kayak to help my son get back on/in next time he isn't trying to get back on/in. We may also get some waterproof grips for the paddle so he knows where its ideal to grip it and as a cushion sort of while he's paddling (we have it on our higher end paddle). I can't speak to longevity of this kayak because he's only gone out once but so far so good!

Perfect kids kayak.
We bought this for our 8 year old not expecting too much. He’s been in the double kayak with us but worried he’d be unable to work a boat on his own. That was not the case. This boat is perfect. He has no trouble maneuvering it around lakes, ponds and rivers. It’s so good it’s given him a tremendous amount of confidence. I’d give it ten stars if I could.

Perfect starter kayak
No issues with delivery. We bought it last year and used it a lot late summer and just started taking it out again this year. My son is now 5 and and he had no issues so far. One thing I am going to look into is investing in a seat. We tend to stay out on the water for several hours at a time and after a while he wants to lean back into something. It's a basic sit-on-top kids kayak. The price was right, the weight and size is appropriate. It has toggles which I can attach a rope and pull him from my kayak if/when he gets tired. I have to smaller children so I know it will get a lot of use. I'm very happy with this purchase.

Six year old loves it!
We live at a lake, so I purchased this for my son's 6th birthday. He was so excited to have "a kayak of his own" that he slept it in for a week in his bedroom. (The instructions do say not to sit in it when it's not in the water because it can deform it, but we figured it'd be fine). He's taken it out twice so far. The first time we attached a long rope to the handle so that he couldn't potentially float away (it was a very windy day). The second time he asked to have the rope off and even practiced paddling on his knees, standing up on it (like a paddle board), tipping over, swimming around and climbing up the back. His grandmother was amazed how quickly he was able to steer with his paddle. He's proud of it and loves to pull it out of the water. He can't carry it yet: 18 pounds is too heavy and it's too bulky. He loves the independence of it, considering many other water toys (paddle boards, paddle boats, row boats, etc.) are too big for him. We purchased a paddle leash because, while there are notches in the kayak to sit the paddle, he knocked it into the water a few times while playing about. One piece of advice about pricing: check frequently. We got the green one for under a hundred dollars. The price on the green and blues ones fluctuate every couple of weeks or so.
