Can't go wrong with Tajima
I have various Tajima products. All are really well made and durable. Operates easily and flawlessly and holds the blade well. I rate this up there with Olfa and NT Cutter brands.

Best utility knife!
I got this exact knife when I worked at Sears in1998…that knife finally broke after 20+ years of use. I had to have another one, hoping for another 20 years from the new one.

The knife I can't live without.
I have been using this Tajima knife for a number of years now. I do a lot of carpentry and am always grabbing this knife for various tasks. To me, it's the perfect size, and it's quick and easy to use. The blades are just are ridged and rugged. It's not a knife that is going to last forever with heavy use, but it's not too expensive to start with. I order a few every couple of years, and I'm so glad Tajima still makes this model available. Oh, it's a great knife to cut you finger with! (Ha, ha).

Good old tool.
I know utility knives are a dime a dozen and most people toss them after a while because they get to where they don't slide the blades as well or parts fall off and get lost. I use mine all the time, had it for years and really appreciate that it holds some of the biggest blades around (7/8"). In fact, I've had it so long that recently when I bought refil blades I bought a backup knife too. That's just me. When I find a tool I really like, I don't want to lose it.

A Longtime Favorite
These are high quality Japanese knives and blades. I've owned an LC-620 for 10 or 12 years now, while doing carpentry and handyman work for a living, and it works as well today as when I first bought it (I also have one of the larger models; same quality). I prefer them over short-bladed utility knives for most uses, and they simply have more uses than thier short-bladed cousins. You can extend these out to trim/shave/cut things that standard utility knives just can't reach. If there is any disadvantage it would be the small amount of slop between the blade and the holder, but it just doesn't bother me.If you buy one you should also get the Smith's sharpener with the standard knife/utility knife/capenter's pencil combo ($5-6 bucks). The utility knife sharpener will multiply the life of these blades several fold; well worth the money for that alone.
