Delicious!
The use variations are incredible and the taste is real eggs. Breakfast, baking, cooking. If the recipe requires eggs Augason Farms whole egg is your to go eggs. It is not an egg substitute, it's 100% real eggs. I use their real butter and milk from same brand and the same applies. AND it is shelf stable! Unopened will last for a very long time. I purchased 2 of each one to use and one for emergency, never know.

Best powdered egg I’ve tried
The texture and flavor on this is head and shoulders above any other whole egg powder I’ve tried - it reminds me of cafeteria or camp lodge eggs. Very glossy and smooth; I think I’ll be able to make an excellent tamagoyaki with it. Don’t over manipulate it in the pan, use low heat and go slow, and use a little less water than it calls for (and substitute milk if you want a richer flavor) for best results.

Tastes just like eggs
I had purchased this a long time again as a staple for full time rving. As eggs have gotten so expensive, I finally opened and was surprised. Use them in all your cooking or as scrambled eggs! I packaged it up in ziploc bags and froze the powder to extend the shelf life

Good option for baking needs
These are expensive but worked well in cookies today. With current egg shortages in some areas they would be a worthwhile investment. Once opened they are good for a year. Unopened they are good for 10 yrs.

Effective option for baking
I use this egg powder for baking sandwich bread. It’s easy to use, cost effective, and easier to use than fresh eggs, because it can go in the bread machine when I use the delay function. Plus, powdered eggs are always handy to have on hand in emergencies- such as during bird flu epidemics which make the cost of eggs prohibitive for many people. But when you have egg powder on hand, no problem.

Great tasting eggs!
To paraphrase Lord Baden Powell, the father of World Scouting, "If you're roughing it in the field, you're doing it wrong." With that said, breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and preparing a hot breakfast on a backpacking trip is key to comfort on the trail. Augason eggs are a key ingredient to a great start to the day!Freeze dried egg product can leave a lot to be desired in terms of taste, but Augason eggs are real eggs that when prepared as a scramble, have a texture and taste that are indistinguishable from an egg from your kitchen. Here's the recipe I used for a single serving of cheesy vegetable egg scramble that can be accompanied by instant grits or tortillas and leave minimum trash to pack out:6 Tbsp dried Augason Eggs4 Tbsp dried Augason Shredded Cobly Jack3 Tbsp of Frontier Deluxe Vegetable soup mixsalt/cajun seasoning to tastePack out in a sandwich bag. Once in the field, mix dry contents, add .5 cups of water to bag, squish back around until wet, boil for 8 minutes and voila! A cheesy vegetable egg scramble. I'll note that the Augason Shredded Colby Jack actually melts in this preparation, which is great and you can use the water boiled for your instant coffee! As for value, as of 2-15-22, the cost for a can of eggs is $33/can, which is 72 servings per the label. Per my recipe, you'll get about 20-22 servings, which makes it a bit more than $1 a serving which I think is a reasonable price given the quality of the product and its intended use for the field. A five star purchase!
