Surprisingly Great product made by all time nemesis Microsoft
I never expected to say I like something made by Microsoft. The tablet is great for my design work. It is excellent product for great price. If you do not have money for the latest models of Surface this is a great solution until you save up to upgrade.Pros:1. You can install Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Bridge and etc. I have these 3 installed.2. The screen is very responsive to fingers and stylus.3. The RAM and internal memory are big for a tablet and the processor is fast enough to handle Photoshop and Illustrator at the same time. No glitches but one (read the cons).4. The touchscreen keyboard is nice. There are few options of layout. You choose. If you hold down Ctr and C an options on the keys around pop up "Copy" and etc.5. The screen is large. Fast zoom in and zoom out.6. The battery life is GREAT! It lasts hours when work on PS or AI.7. Memory slot for mini SD card to expand the memory storage. And USB port to transfer files from external HD or your smart phone. You can not use this port to transfer files from and to your PC. At least I did not figure it out. And you CAN NOT charge you tablet with your USB cable from your phone.8. Internet speed is decent. I use Dropbox and public Wi-Fi on occasions.9. Last but not least: THE PEN. It is very comfortable to work with it. Note: Do Not buy another pen model. Only this pen type works with this tablet. I ordered fancier pen and it turned out is compatible.Cons:I will start with one big problem in PS and its solution. As every designer knows PS requires a lot of resources. It is not exception on the Surface. PS was very sluggish at the beginning. But this is the solution: you have to allocate more RAM for PS and it will work fine! Go to the program settings and increase the memory allocation from 2 GB (by default) to 3 GB. The device has 4 GB of RAM. You can use 3.5 if PS is the only program you use at the moment. You can always scale back the RAM allocation from the settings.1. This tablet is nearly 2 lb. It is heavy to hold for too long. Having a stand helps a lot. Most cases come with a stand in one form or another.2. This was a big problem for me when I installed PS CS6 and AI CS6: the menus are tiny and very hard to see. It is a pain to work on the interface. I bought a bluetooth keyboard and it worked fine. It will as long as you know more keyboard commands than Copy and Paste. You can not use the Space key to move the cursor as not physical keyboard. BUT there is a solution: I installed PS CC and AI CC. Their interface is designed for tablets. Menus are biggier, it is easy to manipulate images with your fingers. I enjoy it more now and do not use the keyboard often.3. Microsoft keyboard is way too expensive. I see no justification for the price.4. The charger is designed very weirdly. It is not charged through USB port (there is one) as a phone but Microsoft designed cable. It is long and does not tangle.Copying Apple approch for proprietary hardware for bigger profit?5. The charger is expensive. Around $60. Good luck if you lose it or misplace it. Take care of your toys.6. It is Microsoft after all. My memory was bloated with fanthom files. It showed full. I reset the tablet and it is better now. The memory card slot is a great solution to work around this problem. You can upgrade it from 8 to 10 if you really care what version of Windows you use. I am fine with 8. I use the tablet for design only. This is a long essey but hopefully will help you.

An outstanding art tablet.
This is a very impressive device that's perfect for making digital art, especially if you attach a cheap USB num-pad for keyboard shortcuts. The screen resolution is full 1080p which is outstanding for a tablet. The built-in bluetooth support allows you to hook up many peripherals at once without using the USB port. The display port allows the tablet to hook up to multiple monitors at once. It could realistically replace my desktop if not for the fact that it's a little weak for gaming. I have mine clipped to an AboveTEK goose-neck tablet holder below my desk so that the tablet hovers upward next to my chair, which feels very futuristic. You can easily find a cheap Wacom-compatible stylus for it for about $20. I use the Zodiac digitizer stylus.AboveTEK Heavy Duty Aluminum Gooseneck iPad Holder, Cell Phone Desk Mount Tablet Holder iPad Stand for Office Kitchen Bed, Fits 3.5"-10" iPad Pro Air Mini & Mobile iPhone 7 6 5, Strong & Flexible ArmZodiac Digitizer Stylus Pen 1024 Pressure for Microsoft Surface Pro 1 Pro 2 IBM/THINKPAD Lenovo X201T/X220/X220T/X230/X230i/X230T/W700, HP 2710P/2730P/2740PThe only minor nitpicks I can think of are that it's slightly bulky and weighty compared to more modern tablets, so you can't easily mount it over your head in bed if you want to watch a movie. This is definitely doable, but not quite simple. Also at first, its charger is finicky about actually charging the device while the tablet is powered on.... until you install Windows 10 which comes with updated battery drivers. But even without that fix, it will always charge while powered off.

Poor write up is miss leading.
The way this was written up I thought I was getting the surface pro. As it turns out, I got the surface with windows Pro. Big difference. this machine is great except that 64 gig does not last very long. you need at least the 128 gig model to work well.now I see that the surface pro is selling for around 500 and I paid 800 for the lesser model. what a rip. Now I have to find a way to sell the psurface and get the surface pro and not lose a lot of money in the process. Reading is very fundamental and I blew it. My fault but I think the seller has some responsibility in the miss information the way the wrote it up on the web.
