Tin Cup Golf Ball Marking Stencil

I tend to hit Callaway HX Diablo golf balls, so there wasn't much confusion to begin with on whether a ball is mine or not. But sometimes the ball lands just right (or in this case wrong) so the logo is hard to make out. Throw in the Jolly Roger Tin Cup marker and I am 100% certain whether a ball is mine. I use an ultra-fine tip red sharpie marker to leave the mark in 2 spots on the ball away from the logo. No matter which way the ball faces when it lands, I can pick out the logo of the ball or one of the 2 skull and bones. There's never any confusion for anyone else which ball is mine either.The only two negatives are minor to me personally. It takes some time to sit down with a pack of 12 golf balls and put 2 marks on each. Even with the ultra-fine point it takes a bit of care if you want the logo to be relatively neat on the ball. Also, you would be wise to let them sit for a few minutes so it dries and be careful they don't roll away on a surface you care about if they haven't. The second thing is that permanent ink is not entirely permanent when you're talking about a golf ball, club face, and wet conditions. There are marks on some of my club faces form a direct hit, and the ink does wear and come off through contact. I would be careful about carrying marked balls in pant pockets, etc. if they are ones you care about.That being said, it personalizes a golf outing a bit, and leaves you spending less time guessing if a golf ball is yours or not. So to me, it was well worth it and I continue to use it each and every time before an outing.

I sit down and watch youtube while marking my golf balls. The stencil is easy to use and it looks great when finished. On the golf course, the balls are easy recognizable from a distance. I would buy again and I would recommend

Ok,So I like this item very much.I found that it works much better on used balls than brand new balls. On the new balls it would occasionally smudge. Also, I had to freehand finish off the balls the way I like them by outlining the eye sockets and nose on the skull, I also occasionally added some punisher teeth. You don't need to do the custom add ons but I was bored as hell at work and figured, hey why not. I did all the balls in the photo in about 30 minutes. Will definitely make my balls identifiable. So I normally lose about 6 balls in 18 holes, but while looking for them I usually recover 10-20 balls in the surrounding area of 18 holes throughout the day. So I'm always ahead in my ball collection.... hence, I enjoy using this tool.Also. Use the ultra fine permanant sharpie, it works great. In between the marking of balls I would recommend wiping the inside of the mold cup with your fingers to remove any excess ink, this will prevent residue smudging on your next ball.The sharpie stains came off easy from my fingers with clorox wipes, but dont use the wipes on your mold because that definitely caused smudging on my next ball.Anyway, I hope this review helped. Definitely recommend this tool for a uniqe fun golfing experience. I love that I have a golf ball stencil to put my USN Navy F-14 Jolly Rogers logo on my balls; however, this is not the easiest product to use. First, definitely use an extra fine tip sharpie, or the sharpie will bleed under the stencil. Also, this does not lock around your ball, so the ball may move if not super careful. After each ball make sure you wipe the inside of the stencil or you get transfer all around the logo on the ball.

I have never written a review in my LIFE, but this is so stinkin’ cute I just HAD to! The stencil is super quick and easy to apply and I can’t wait to play golf with my new personalized balls. One word of caution: all Sharpies are not created ‘permanent’. The first pens I bought wiped right off, so make sure the package says ‘permanent’ on the bottom right. I’ve Included in the picture the correct ones.

Is it the best ... probably not. Am I happy with my purchase ... absolutely. It's great way to give your ball a little customization without spending a bunch of cash. I put a logo on 25 balls in about 25 minutes. It took me a few minutes to figure out the best way to hold it to keep it in place while I colored between the lines. It's not a perfect logo but from a few feet away you can't tell if you messed up. Plus ... I'm sure it will smudge a little if you hit the logo. I tried to put the logo in an area that I won't hit when I tee off. Of course you can't touch it when it's in play so inevitably I'm going to hit the logo. Overall I'm satisfied with this purchase. I bought the Ultra Fine Point Sharpe pack in a variety of colors for $6.44. This marker logo market cost me $20.79 ($18.99 + tax). So for $27.23 and the ability to put a logo on all my future golf balls I think it's a good deal. It's much better than a colored dot or free-handing some other mark on my ball. I would recommend this product.
