No box
The bread maker worked properly and was in good condition when delivered. My only issue was that it must have been a returned item since it was shipped without the original box. Everything was packed in a brown Amazon box only. Not really a problem except it was a gift and it felt a bit awkward giving it that way.

We'll see...
First loaf I made was Hot Buttered Rum Loaf & it came out DIVINE!! Second loaf was a nightmare...new recipe (Coconut Milk & Chickpea Flour Bread) made with ingredients I'm not used to using. Came out like a brick & I had to throw it away. I'll blame myself for that one. Third loaf (Applesauce Spice Bread) is in the machine right now & so far, so good. We'll see...I like: *the look of this machine *the huge window *the rotate-to-secure pan *the digital features *the price *the bake featureI do not like: *that it shimmies on the countertop so much I had to put it on the floor for fear of it falling off the counter *that when I wiped the display window with my finger, the readout became "smooshy" and took several minutes to become clear again *that the display is not back-lit & is very hard to see *that the indicators for bread size and crust color are very tiny and very hard to see *that the blade does not lock down and comes out with the bread (not a big deal if the bread is for yourself but digging the blade out of the bread makes for a messy-looking gift loaf) *that the delay timer is confusing and there seems to be no way to disable it (even by unplugging the machine) if you press it by accidentOverall I like this machine. For what I will use it for, it's great.

exellent!
For the price is an exelent bread maker. If you use an all purpose flour, do not expect your bread will be a success. If you use the flour for bread, you are going to have a great textured tasty bread. I also like the dough option, after I take out the bread paste out of it, is ebbs a little, than I shape it on the pan, than I put it on a warmed, not hot place for 20 more minutes. It raises back, then I put it in the oven, and I bake the bread or bagels in the oven in about 40 minutes on 350°F. Whether you bake the bread in the machine or in your oven, it turns out perfect, the secret is the flour. I love this machine.

good for dough, but bake in your own oven
years ago I had a breadman pro machine and for reasons not to be mentioned here I got rid of it. now I decided to get back into the bread baking habit. so I went around looking for a new machine and also looked on amazon at what is available and at what prices. basicly no machine is perfect and no machine gets perfect reviews. so I decided to settle for the sears machine because it was cheap and I could buy it at the nearest store, and of course return it if need be. I like whole wheat bread but their recipe up to no good. my bread came out like a rock, hard and with no taste. so I tried the next recipe, and that was with honey. no good either. hard, tasteless and it took 4 hours to finish, plus you cannot make a one pound loaf. why do they say it on the box but have no ingredient sizes for it? anyway, I decided to make a whole wheat loaf from one of my own recipes. I put all the ingredients according to the machine rules and put on program 7 which is for dough only. after 20 seconds of kneading when the machine beeps I took the dough out, without touching it I poured it into a baking pan of the right size and covered it for 45 minutes to rise. I did oil the pan to be sure of no sticking. then after the rising period I put it into a cold oven, yes, a cold oven. turn the oven on to 360f for 30 minutes, at the 30 minutes time I raised the temp to 400f for another 10 minutes. it was the best loaf I baked so far in recent memory. it was even better than the bread I was kneading by hand before I bought the machine. as for bread machine manufacturers recipes, ignore them. most of them are not good in my opinion. even when I had the breadman pro machine I always had to change some items in the recipe to get the bread up to eating standard. if you are new to baking with machines, do yourself a favour, take ordinary recipes and put them into the bread machines according to their line, then bake it in your own oven. its easier than to battle with the machine for a perfect bread. not to talk about the fact that you get the bread at half the time.
