KIT-1593Q Box+PCB, Black ABS Plastic Box with Batt. Compartment, with PR1593Q PCB, Box = 4.4 x 2.6 x 1.1 in

The ProtoBoard (PR1593Q) included with the Hammond Enclosure (1593QBK) in the ProtoBOX-1593Q-BK Kit does not fit the enclosure! The enclosure is too narrow for the board to slip in. You can use either independently, but not both on the same project. Either the quality control in awful, or the specs are so loose that each meets them independently, but they do not work together at all.

The case is nicer than I expected. Very rigid molded plastic. The small rectangular front is actually a snug fitting slide-in panel which comes in very handy for mods. But, as someone else pointed out, the included board... I used it as a template for cutting a half-proto board down and tossed it.

I liked this case but the board was terrible. I replaced it with my own perfboard. It was okay for the price, but I wouldn't purchase it for the board. Buy it for the case. The case is very good quality.

Easy to solder. Fits a 9v battery well.

This was exactly what I needed for my project. The box is well-built and the printed circuit board is well-made.

I recently purchased one of these electronics project enclosures to house an active AM antenna amplifier that I was building. This enclosure was PERFECT for the project.
