Elegance and quality The first cookie workshop opened in 1890, when Pietro Gentilini, born in Vergato, moved to Rome in 1856, where he began to produce bread and biscuits. The first feature of the laboratory was the dried biscuits Osvego, born from an idea of Peter who enhanced and improved customizing it, a recipe of a dry cookie of Anglo-Saxon origin called Oswego, which in those years was spreading in Italy. Soon the laboratory became a real Biscuits factory, which in order to meet the growing demands moved to the industrial area of Rome of the economic resurgence, so in 1958, because of the greatest production needs, opened the plant on Via Tiburtina, still today the headquarters of the Biscuit Factory P. Gentilini. Product Specifications Originally, Gentilini biscuits were sold bulk by weight and stored in tin cubes with a glass side for product recognition. Today the tin gift boxes strengthen the bond with tradition and craftsmanship: with their vintage charm, in fact, the Gentilini Biscotti boxes combine the elegance of the packaging with the quality of the product.
