A playful robot bedtime story, illustrated by Caldecott Honoree John Rocco! Quiet at last. Not a peep. Three little robots are... BEEP! BEEP! When his three rambunctious robots give every possible excuse not to go to sleep, what's a little boy to do? With a fun refrain that will have readers of all ages chanting along, here's a book that kids will be begging to read every night before bed. Review: A Shared Favorite - We first took this book out of the library, and I was super skeptical. In fact, I didn't even want to read it. I'm an older mom and kind of old school, I guess, because I often don't like the move in children's books to wacky fonts, postmodern collage-y text, and so on. The big "beep, beep" and different colored fonts initially deterred me. However, this has turned into one of my favorite children's book and certainly my favorite one published in the past decade. It's clever. It's cute. It's so rich in detail that every time I read it I notice some new aspect of the illustrations that just completely delight me. And, most importantly (I guess), kids love it (my son and nephews). The storyline is sweet and clever: the little boy is in the role of parent trying to get his robots to bed and asleep; followed by another twist--the robots are actually putting him to bed and to sleep. It's the traditional telling of the bedtime routine as bed time story, but with a great twist. I also love the things that the robot's say that imitate what children say at bed time but are robot specific, The illustrations are loaded with such fun details: the expression on the little boy's face as his robots run amuck in the bathroom; the robots actually turning out the lights, closing the books, etc.; the mouse with the eye mask to block out the light one of the robot's needs on. Priceless. Oh--and those multicolored fonts? They are color coordinated to the robots and the boy's pajamas. Amazing attention to detail with this book. And yes, my son likes it too:) Review: A favorite bedtime story in our home. - This book has been a favorite of our 3 children, who laugh at the robots bedtime antics and love chiming in “Beep Beep!” Cleverly written with fun illustrations. Recently purchased a hardcover copy as a gift and was pleased with the quality.

Not your average bed to bed story
Not since Knuffle Bunny has a book engaged the attention of our two and a half year old granddaughter so thoroughly. This book met her right where she is at developmentally. She understands the bedtime routine but struggles as all toddlers do. We had such fun following the antics of the robots as the boy tries to put them to sleep for the umpteen time! She enjoyed the little mouse and I laughed right out loud when she imitated the character washing under his arm. Again as other reviewers said, although the little ones can't read yet when they see the bold words BEEP,BEEP, they yell them out with gusto. Great book!

Brings a 3 year old running to the phone!
This book is ADORABLE! The artwork is absolutely gorgeous and the story is very clever. My 3 year old grandson lives in Italy and is obsessed with robots. I have to find ways to connect with him over FaceTime and this has been a winner! He will definitely come running to the phone if I will read “Beep Beep Go to Sleep” to him!

My daughter’s favorite bedtime story
I found this at the library and my daughter loved it so much we had to buy it. We read this almost every night before my daughter (3 y/o) goes to sleep. She loves doing robot voices and helping with the beep beeps. The story is quick and fun to read. The illustration is beautiful and detailed. I’ve bought another as a gift for my nephew. Highly recommend reading
