HYDE 06358 6358 Flexible Joint Knife, 3

These are the only tools I use for mud work. The stainless steel blades are easy to clean and stay rust free over many years. Regular steel blades will rust no matter how hard you try to keep them dry. The flex blades are sturdy but you will ruin them if you use them as scrapers. I recommend carrying a stiff bladed tool for scraping and using your flex blades only for applying and floating mud (drywall compound).

These have a really great feel to them and the hammer end of the handle is great for dimpleing! The 3" knife I received had an annoying bend at one corner of the blade. Had I not pressed it out it would have definitely scratched any surface it was pulled across.

This is a really great putty knife. Nicely made and will last.

Wish the blade had a little more flex but overall good value and product.

Hyde tools, they are getting more difficult to find!! Why, well the bulk of their tools are made in America and, cost a little more. They last a whole lot longer...!! Everything great about this knife, even the new fancy handles!! On the down side, the seller did not combine shipping and, the shipping was $15.00 on 5 ozs of goods.... A cute way to make up the lower stated price....!!!
