Great capo great price.Great for banjo and mandolin too.
Have always used shubbs. More recently, a Kyser, simply for ease of having it at hand, on the headstock, one handed on and off. Been playing a lot of bluegrass over the past 8 years. This capo has adjustable tension, like a shubb ! and has as much or less pressure as a keyser.the best feature, imho, it that this capo minimizes note distortion and tuning issues due to excessive string pressure, as you can use just enough pressure to have the strings ring clearly, and no more.(while i rarely capo my electric guitars, this is the best capo, again, because with lighter strings, and adjustable clamp pressure, there is no string/note distortion.)I prefer it to my trusty kyser. And, because it can have very light tension, its great for light gauge strings.I use it (another) on my banjos for this reason. Its amazing the difference on banjo. Capoing needs no tuning adjustment of capoed strings on banjo to be in tune. It is the best capo for banjo ive yet found. clamp it on, using zero adjustment pressure and, youre in tune. This doesnt happen with shubbs or kyser, as the pressure really puts the light strings out of tune..Great vale and product good quality too, ive had 1 of 2 for almost 2 years, stll like new!

Fantastic capo in all respects
I love everything about this capo and I've owned and used many types. It's simple to use with just one hand. The adjustable pressure is as a capo should be. Its curvature fits every guitar I own, electric and acoustic. And best of all, the "reverse" design where the bulk of the capo is above the fretboard leaving the area below the neck open is so much more comfortable for playing than the opposite that we see on most capos.

Great capo!
Especially on an electric guitar with lighter strings, I find that a cheap capo with a really heavy spring will really bend the strings out of tune, even if you're guitar's adjusted so that you can push down all the way to the fretboard. This capo lets you adjust the strength so it's just enough to not buzz and give a clean tone, but not any more. This means it's also easier to take on and off, since it doesn't have to clamp as hard and also because the actual linkage makes it feel easier. Pretty genius device, and the price isn't too bad.The "finger" that depressed the strings is covered in a rubbery sleeve that can slip off with enough force, but that's not really an issue.

good capo
I like that you can adjust the tension. The design keeps the handle mechanism extending above the fret board instead of behind the fret board. Depending on how your fret hand/fingers extends beyond the capo you may find this capo more or less comfortable. Also, you may have to use your strumming hand to adjust this capo position instead of your fretting hand. I find this capo more comfortable when I the capo is above the 3rd fret.

Well designed, well made capo
This is a very good "grab and use" capo. Because you can make quick, one-handed changes and you can store it on the headstock of your guitar, I currently use this capo when playing live (replacing a Planet Waves tension screw capo that I had to put on a mic stand or stick in my pocket). No capo will work well on every guitar as different guitars will have different neck radius, string tension, width, etc. so take that into account when reading capo reviews. But the ability to dial in different tension settings elevate the NS Artist above a Kyser--although I still use my Kyser occasionally. I haven't used the attachment for a Planet Waves tuner even though I use PW tuners with my acoustics--I prefer to have it attached to the headstock for maximum sensitivity. The pick clip is OK if you use thin picks. A .73 pick will fit fine but it's hard to fit in something heavier. The bottom line on capos for me is that most of the good ones are around 15 bucks and it's worth it to have an assortment for different needs. But I like this capo enough that I came back to by a second one plus another as a gift--you can't have too many capos!

My favorite out of several brands
If you are looking for a capo that isn't fussy this is it. If you find that your existing capo requires you moving it around squeezing it after the fact, look no further. If you have one of the cam based capos and you have to undo it a few times to get it right, this is the capo for you.I have tried most popular brand capos and this one just works. I don't have any moments where I thought my capo was correctly set but the high E string has a funny noise because it wasn't clamped just right. These things are just reliable. I like them so much I got rid of ALL my other capos and bought 3 of these.Remember to set the tension to your neck profile and you are done. Clamp and go!You will not be disappointed.

Finally: perfection!
I wanted a capo that was quick to install and would work on a variety of neck shapes (I play both acoustic and electric on different shaped necks). Over the years, I've bought at least 10 other capos, and none of them really worked well with all of my guitars. It seemed every other capo I tried was either too slow to install and adjust, or didn't work on one or more necks. This capo did. Anyone want ~10 other capos?

Get it!
It was easy to adjust the spring tension and easy to place anywhere on the guitar neck. It has a unique controlled easy feel when squeezing the handles, unlike the Kyser capo. With the Kyser capo, the squeeze is “hard” with more tension and more resistance. The D’Addario capo has a “relaxed“ tension, an easier “give” when squeezing, but effective in capo-ing the neck. When you get it, you’ll know what I mean. I definitely would recommend this product!
