Works excellent and cleans up grime easily! This is a strong cleaner, so make sure to be responsible when using it!
This was my first time purchasing this product. Additionally, along side using this product, this was the first time I cleaned the underside of a boat. Overall, this does an excellent job at getting all the grime off the bottom of a boat. I can't say how this works on a boat that isn't cleaned all summer, because we did some scrubbing while hanging out on the river a few times. So, with this said, this really made the majority of the cleaning very easy. I put this in a pump sprayer (like you would for spraying weeds) and then sprayed it on the boat from top to bottom. I let it sit for probably about 5-10 minutes and then I went at it with a scrub brush. Everything pretty much came off perfectly the first time, aside from all the grime near the motor (this took a few times to get it perfect). As a noobie, it took me about 1.5-2 hours to completely make the boat look brand-new. There wasn't any grime that this couldn't remove. The only warning that I would caution you about is how strong this stuff is. First, I would probably wear long sleeves and pants. I got some of this on my skin and it caused some minor burn marks (nothing too serious). Second, I would definitely recommend wearing a mask or respirator of some sorts. This has a nice lemon smell, but once the scent/air reaches your lungs, it really will make you cough. Lastly, I should mention that as a visual cue for all of this, while spraying with a pump spray, this smokes because of the high acidity. Nothing to be afraid of, but I feel it should be noted. Wrapping this review up, this did a fantastic job at cleaning the boat without doing any damage what-so-ever to the hull and bottom. Great product, will use again.

Amazing results.
I was overjoyed at how this product worked on the heavy buildup on my hull. I used a few other cleaners and they didn't do near as well. My boat hull never looked so good this product really is amazing. Only con don't get it on your skin it does not feel good. I had to jump in the pool because I wore slides using it. The bottle does warn you though. My fault.

THE best hull cleaner, VERY easy to apply, rinse off, no paint damage, leaves a shine
We bought a lake cabinwith a boat slip but no lift. My boat sat in the dirty harbor water all summer. When I took it out for winter storage I saw for the first time how caked with slime the hull was--or what I thought was just slime, until I tried to remove it. I expected my power washer to easily spray it off the hull. Not even close. What I thought was just slime seemed as though it was baked on the hull, not just caked on. I tried spraying and scrubbing with a myriad of different cleaners--some to the point of actually damaging the painted finish. Nothing was capable of removing what seemed like concrete adhering to the hull of my new boat. I finally gave up when the boat had to go into storage for the winter. I was in despair at the thought of that stuff setting in even more over the winter. This spring I spoke to a neighbor about my dilemma. Having encountered the same problem, he had discovered Starbrite EZ-ON, EZ-OFF. I was skeptical given all the hull cleaners I had tried, but I boughta bottle. It is an answer to prayer. I applied it with a paintbrush on the freeboard, saw that it foamed as directed, applied a bit more to a few troublesome areas, then rinsed it off with a gardenhose. No power washer needed, no scrubbing required. What's more, it not only dissolved that “slime” without any damage to thefinish, it left the finish clean and shiny. For the bottom of the hull I used a small sponge-end floor mop that I soaked in a dish of EZ-ON, EZ-OFF . Same result. I also used it on the lower unit of my outboard. Same result: clean and shiny. ONE CAVEAT: This cleaner has a green color and did slightly discolor one of the decals on my boat, leaving it with a slight green cast. Hardly noticeable. No other finish on the boat was affected. My only regret is that I didn't discover EZ-ON EZ-0FF sooner. I could have saved myself countless hours of scrubbing and worrying.

Made me a believer.....
It works! Simply put, if you take time to prep the boat surface, it's amazing! I would highly recommend wearing goggles, not safety glasses, and also good rubber gloves. For best results, I power washed the hull of the boat prior to use. I had a solid sludge line on the hull from the boat sitting in the water on an inland lake for six months....there was enough algae that I could have used a scraper to remove a 1/64". After power washing, I was left with a stained surface in which you could feel the remaining algae. I applied the product with a 2" brush and was shocked that the algae literally disappeared as I was brushing it on. For about 98% of the boat, a simply 2-3 brush strokes over the algae removed it down to the white hull. The remaining areas required it to soak in a bit and a second coat that quickly took it off. In addition, it took off the discoloration that was on the boat when I purchased it.....the hull literally looks new! For a 20' boat, I used about a quart and applied it liberally to the entire hull and outdrives and rinsed the entire boat afterward...I took the boat to the self serve car wash as I wasn't sure if this product would damage my driveway, lawn or landscaping. It did get on the trailer, bunk carpet and spare tire and I rinsed it along with the rest of the boat - it didn't appear to damage my specific trailer.... I've used everything in the past, including straight muriatic acid....this work as well if not better. It's a bit more expensive than straight muriatic acid but as to the product itself, it works amazing! Wish I would have known about it twenty years ago.

Paint on leave it for a few minutes. Swish the brush around on it and wipe off the only cleaner out of 7 recommended hull cleaners that worked.
