I buy used cassettes for my collection, and sometimes the pad is missing or loose. These work great! But be careful, when you apply it to the pressure spring, you have 1 attempt. They stick so good, that if you miss the center (like I have many times) they are difficult to get off. My fault, NOT the pads They work well !!!

I bought this repair kit thinking that it probably wouldn't work, but to my amazement...it did! I had an old cassette tape that had the piece of cotton missing, so naturally I thought the tape wasn't good any longer. I spooled out some of the ribbon from within the tape and I used the tweezers from the repair kit and gently placed the cotton replacement onto the tape and gently pressed down on it. Then I reeled the ribbon back into the tape. Then came the final test, I placed the cassette into a player and it played perfectly. This product was so simple to use. I would definitely recommend to friends, family and anyone else looking for a genuine repair kit for old cassette tapes. The price for the kit is extremely reasonable and you'll be pleasantly surprised when you finish your repair.

Product works and my tape player appears to have better sound. However, the reason for the four stars instead of five is because I found it difficult to place the five drops of the cleaner into the slot provided on the cassette. None of the drops reached the tape, I had to use my finger to scrape the excess solution into the slot provided on the cassette.Other than this it should have been a five star review.

Great replacement for when old cassette pads go crunchy and need replacing. Made a large project much easier and saved precious memories when trying to transfer old cassettes to a digital format.
