Beautiful!
These post top lights are perfect! We recently put in a pool and I was looking for something to dress up the fence. My husband is an amateur astronomer so we try to keep the back yard dark. These lights are perfect. They have a classic stained glass look during the day and cast just enough light at night to create a cozy glow. The light does not interfere with our stargazing. I have also noticed that they are still lit in the early morning hours. Everyone that sees them comments and asks where I bought them.

Lovely Light
This light is lovely in my garden. The colours are bright and have remained so for a couple of months so far. The bracket and hardware to mount it are included. It's not a very bright light, but I wouldn't expect it to be considering the shape of the piece and colouring of the glass; so if you want to brightly light an area, this wouldn't be the light you're looking for. It does give enough light to see by, however. With a full day of sun, it stays lit for several hours, but not all night. Since I only wanted it for decoration, and I'm not usually outside at 4am, this doesn't bother me. It's even pretty during the day when it's not lit. All in all, I like this piece for it's look, and it serves the purpose I intended. I'll buy a few more to put along my planter beds.

not as expected but beautiful
Purchased as path lights for a new deck but the mounting had to be outside the deck rail for their protection so their use as actual light for the deck was a nonstarter. Also purchased the larger rechargeable batteries to extend time lights would burn, while I do not know if we have too little sun or what, the lights stiil only last about four hours. So pack them up and send back to Amazon? No way! These lights are absolutely BEAUTIFUL! So often something happens by necessity, accident or karma that just works. The addition of $100 for five of these really showoff the $5000.00 deck. If you are looking for a light solution look at the Fulcrum motion sensor battery operated led light. Long and thin , great battery life and quite remarkable as anlighted path appears and disappears as needed. Mounts great under the lip of the deck rails out of site.

A year later, I still love it
I bought this thing a little more than a year ago. I am using the original batteries and it is on longer than I stay up, winter and summer. Seems to work well even after cloudy days. It is very bright, much brighter than the 3 other post lamps I have. It is very pretty. It is an art deco, Tiffany style lamp. It is bright enough to easily show all the colors in the glass. I have placed it at the center of a glass top table I have on the deck so that we can see it from our sun room and kitchen at night.

Nice looking and bright! Fade issues!
These are some of the most beautiful and affordible post cap lights I have seen in a while! Although mostly plastic surrounds the colored glass they are still very nice! I plan to just paint the frames of them a differnt color as they only come in black. But as with everything it has a unfortunate negative side. The beautiful colored glass tends to fade quite badly after a few weeks in the direct bright hot sun! The Blues and Pinks are almost totally gone in most of the lights. The yellows and other colors didn't get affected as much. Still I like the basic design almost a pyramid shape which is what I was looking for. Just wish it was aluminum instead of plastic as I had to replace a couple by tree damage after a strong wind which broke a couple. If in direct sunlight all day these will stay on all night till sun up! Even stay on most of the night on a cloudy day! I like that! Now if someone would just make a total pyramid looking post cap light similar to these that wouldn't fade that would be fantastic! Are they still worth it? Yes Great price compared to most other post caps and visually look better!

The paint is peeling!!
When I first installed the Stained Glass Solar Post Cap Lamp I loved them. It is cute. Even though it is plastic, it looked good. The lamp is installed on my porch which does not get direct sun. The lamps still light up at night; although for only an hour. I did not mind the short time it stays lit because it is not in direct sun. When my outdoor spot lights come on, it appearantly charges the solar lamps, they will light for a short time after the outdoor lights go off. The lamps are solely decorative, the light given off will not light a path, etc. The big problem that I am experiencing is that after only 3 weeks of outdoor installation (it is an outdoor lamp), the paint is peeling!!! The lamps are now unsightly. If the paint continues to peel, both lamps will be ugly. I have just contacted customer service and am awaiting their reply.

Well, I tried.
One star: brightness Two star: price Super easy to install. It is plastic, but very pretty when lit. With that being said, I literally have to tap on the top of it every night for it to come on. I have no idea how long it stays lit, but it is pretty when it's on. It is fairly inexpensive. I would have been happy for it to just last a year, because of the price, but having to tap it every night (with all day full sun in South Carolina), is becoming annoying. I used the mount that came with it to install directly (screwed) into my mailbox post. Had I not done that, I would return. My suggestion if you order, is to leave out in the sun for a few days to see how it comes on and off before you install.

Fabulous solar lights!
I love these lights! They're well made, and beautiful! I'm really impressed with how long they stay lit. I live in the woods in the Pacific Northwest, where we have a lot of gray/rainy days, but the lights still charge up nicely. After a sunny day, the lights stay lit all night. After an overcast or rainy day, they stay lit until after midnight. I initially ordered a few lights to put around my gates, and I liked them so much that I went back and ordered enough to go on every fence post!
