Has anyone installed this into their car? If so how does it sound? Thanks

It does sound rather good with good bass, but mind you, I have installed three of them (nissan elgrand). This is only good if you have very limited space, there are cheaper solutions if you dont mind bulky sub.

Will the amp take high inputs?

Yes it will. Note you will have to cut off the RCAs in the included harness to use the speaker level inputs.

Can you connect via the rear speakers on do you need andditional wiring to head unit?

I would not recommend contacting via speakers as the sound quality is much better from the head unit. Also you will need a signal wire from the head unit to the amplifier. After two years still works great. Previously bought much cheaper, similar sub and was very disappointed.
