I decided to get this carabiner to make a keychain for my son's Boy Scout troop. They can use it for hiking/camping bag. The carabiner has a lever to hook it to anything and the twist lock will keep it from opening. It worked out great!

I decided to go the empty pocket route and bought a set of these to carry all my keys. I also got some quick-connects so I can simply pop them off when needed and not have to fiddle with this on my belt loop. Wish I thought of this years ago - no more misplacing of losing keys or having the extra bulk in my pocket. These are of high quality and I like the threaded locking mechanism.

I bought a hanging chair for my bedroom and needed something very sturdy so that the whole thing didn't come crashing down. I screwed an eyelet into the ceiling beam but needed something to attach to the cloth chair frame to the eyelet and it needed to be legitimately strong!!!!!! I didn't need this entire pack of them, I needed like one. But they appeared to be just what I needed... and they were! They are well made and even have a locking mechanism to prevent the clip from accidentally opening. Again, I didn't need a family pack of them!!!! BUT.... I will certainly find other uses for them. VERY highly recommend!!!

I didn't even "like it". However, that was MY fault, because I didn't read carefully the description. I thought that the locking cilinder was spring-charged; I needed something with a quick lock/unlock mechanism. In this product that's not the case; it is like a nut (with a thread), so it takes a couple of seconds to lock/unlock, and if you are wearing gloves or your fingers are too cold (or too big), good luck with that. But the description (the title, actually) says "...Clip Hook Screw Gate Buckle."So, this product is exactly as described. It seems to be reasonable good quality and I'm sure it will work as it should for its intended purposes (which is NOT climbing nor hanging heavy stuff).It looks nice, too. (Although I'm guessing that the black finish will peel off.)

The Good:- Great value for locking caribiners- Well made, spring action is strong and the locking nut is secure- Black coating is holding up well with light use- Come with key ring attachments (see picture)The Bad:- NoneThe Bottom Line:I needed some locking caribiners on my backpack because I getting worried that my old ones might unbuckle and then I’d lose my keys and flashlight. These locking caribiners have been great as they are all black and are very secure on my backpack. They are a great value especially given they come with a bunch of key rings to use!

I was looking for a small size carabiner with a locking slide. Visually this fits the bill but I should have read the reviews closer. The locking mechanism is more for show as it doesnt stop and lock at the top or bottom. Opening the carabiner is clumsey and since it doesnt stay in place it can slide up and block the opening.

After losing a bundle of keys on my Carabiner without a lock, I looked these up and knew I had to order them. I often get in and out of cars at work and it pressed my old carabiner, causing my keys to come loose in a customer's car. This was a huge problem since I have very important keys. I found this set of carabiners as a solution and they work great! Very easy to twist to lock and unlock, I even gave my girlfriend one for her keys! They are slick in black, the lock has texture making it very non-slip on your fingers. I can get these things unlocked in seconds, while not worrying about them ever unlocking themselves.

Not mountaineering quality, obviously, but good enough for hanging a couple of bags together or clipping some casual gear onto your pack. The locking screw has no stops on it, it can be unscrewed totally loose onto the shaft, or up off the threads and then it has to be reseated before you can open the carabiner again. So, the screw bit is a mixed blessing, I may take the screw collars off and just toss 'em. Meanwhile, a great way to hang water bottles and other "not a big deal" gear that won't fit on the common 2" keychain 'biners.
