I liked that this book was short and a quick, easy read. The checklists provided were very helpful for someone just starting a non profit who has little or no experience. Would not recommend for anyone with an already established organization as there was little information after the initial structure set up.

All of middle school through college I was always involved with some kind of charitable non profit organization. Now that i'm older and have the money, I was looking for ways to give back by potentially starting my own non profit organization. Feeling lost, someone recommended this guide. It definitely gives you a step by step path on where to get started and eventually get things running. I have already started to apply some of it's advice into practice. Check it out.

So when I bought this book I guess my expectations were high. The name of the book is starting, running and growing a nonprofit. The book is really only 69 pages of content out of a 178 page book. 9 pages of Table of contents, 69 pages of actual helpful content and 100 pages of Appendix material which are specific laws or requirements for individual states. I know nothing about nonprofit and would fall under the category of dummy of knowledge regarding this topic. I don't feel this author really broke it down to a dummy level. I thought after reading the book I would feel empowered and encouraged to take the next steps but it left me requiring to do more research. It does break somethings down but I feel even more confused now than I did before I read the book. I'm not saying I wouldn't recommend the book because there are some helpful hints in there but definitely does not live up to the title. It is his first book so for that I rated 3 stars instead of 1 star.

Lately, the idea of opening a nonprofit is becoming very popular. Some people want to genuinely help others that is why they want to open one, and then there are others that want to open a charity under the nonprofit charitable organization just make money. Regardless of the reason you want to open up, this is the guide you will need. I am impressed with the details the author shared in this book.

Liked this read alot, it kept my interest through the end. Interesting and good, I keep it in my library I know I will read it again.

Good information, well organized, and a quick read. The only thing that kept me from giving a 5 star rating is the typos. If you’re publishing a book, you should have someone check spelling and grammar.
