I am an ICU RN. I need to take my temperature accurately to be sure that I'm not posing a risk to my coworkers or family. This device is horribly inaccurate for body temperatures. The best I could get was 35 C (95F)...unless I ran my hand under hot water and only then would it pick up a warmer temp. This product is useless. I am returning it. Very disappointed considering what it's price tag is!

If you are looking for a highly accurate and consistent reading every time you make a measurement, this won't be it. For something like that, and touchless, you would have to spend 4 times the cost of this thermometer. I have a Braun IR thermometer which is pretty accurate but requires insertion in the ear. I use that to compare the reading with this thermometer. The measurements are about 1 degree off. Since this is touchless, there are many variables that can afftect your readings. For me it's accurate enough to show me if there is any fever. It also measures surface temperatures which is very useful. I use it to find hot spots on a printed circuit board. I think it's worth the money.

Does not accurately measure forehead temperatures forever purposes. Wife had two nights of fever, measured intra-orally, exceeding 100.4F. Several dozen forehead attempts at indicated distances did not register the fever. My intent was to use this for screening purposes. These inaccuracies could prove inconvenient to dangerous, depending on pathogen causing the missed fever readings.

There are no instructions about calibrating this thing and I can't get it to measure humans at anything more than 97.

This thermometer is great. We thought it would be safer to use because there is no contact with the sick person, no oral thermometer to clean afterwards & for the person with a fever, much less time consuming. Works in seconds. Perfect for our concerns during the Coronavirus period, in case we start feeling ill. In addition, it came with the 9v battery.

Its accurate for Covid -19 testing

Very easy to use. We needed the results in Fahrenheit and after following the instructions, we were able to set it. Truly recommend this product. We have used several times.
